Comfortable ride
This van has been great however we do have problems with the automatic sliding door and the power window buttons do not last on this year and model.

Very Reliable
She brings me anywhere as I kept her well lubed and greased all the time. This van has moved my family from Vancouver to Alberta, across 5 states in the US and school and my work. Everyday I use her and every time she would start my day and roll all over where I wanted her to bring me. She would show me her worries on the dash I will take care of what ever is wrong with her and so far, fortunately, she has had only minor repairs. Wish they did not change the streamline design of this van as this is the best design to cut through the winds.

Decent Mini Van
Owned this for 14 months, has not failed me yet. The traction control and stability control are great in the winter. The stability control actually does a great job of correcting small slides in slippery weather. I actually had to try hard to get the van to slide more than 5 degress in snowy weather. The traction control is great for pulling through slippery terrain. The van drives like a light but large suv, and looks a bit like a hybrid of a van and suv. Great for people like me who do not want a minivan but are doomed to one due to a large family and middle class income. Has great power with the 3.8 litre v6 engine. Pretty decent on fuel as well. The interior design is durable but looks cheap!

great van
I have owned this van for approx 3 years and really have not had to put much into it other than basic maintenance. Cost to maintain has exceeded my expectations.

Family vehicle
This vehicle was bought in 2006 and is still in use today. It has had to have parts replaced a few times, but overall great performance. A great vehicle for those who need lots of space, and good for large families.

Excellent van for long distance driving, comfortable with lots of leg space. Great on gas long distance as well. Not good for inner city driving however.

It's a vehicle that i would purchase again
It rides like a car and it has enough room that you are not cramped. The only problem with the vehicle is the cargo space is too small. When you build the next one could you make the cargo space a little bigger so you don't have to take out the seats.

It's an alright ride
My family has had this car since we were little kids, and we have so many memories in it, we've been all the way to B.C. and back to Manitoba and as far south as Memphis, TN, and as far east as Virginia Beach, VA. It has lasted a long long time, but now it's starting to wear out. But all in all, it has served us well

Comfy Van
I do like my van. I can fit all that I need in it, even when we all go camping. The only thing I would change would be that it had a console built-in, in between the driver & front passenger seats. That would make it easier to hold everything.

Make sure standard fails have been fixed
When this model came out there were standard problems with it but Pontiac never recalled the vehicle. The head gaskets was the worse of the problem but luckily ours failed with the warrent period. They have also had problems such as the fan for the a/c failing and the gas gage. Ours constantly says its full. I don't know why they didn't recall the vehicles as I know everyone I know that owned one of these had the same problems. After all that the vehilce has been quite reliable and it will be 10 years we have had it and it's still got a few years left in it.

2006 Pontiac Montana

Reliable Point A to Point B vehicle
Well I've had this vehicle for 6 years now and I have yet to experience any major problems with the vehicle. It has been a very dependable and reliable part of the family. Mind you, I religiously take the vehicle in for it's scheduled tune-ups and check-ups based on mileage, and I think that goes a long way in extending the life of your vehicle. I find my Montana a comfortable vehicle to drive, even on trips where I drive straight for 6 hours. Performance wise...well you aren't going to win any drag races in this vehicle! lol. But it handles well, accelerator responds well, as does the braking system. I barely need to touch the brakes to get a response. Basic interior...nothing fancy. Same for the exterior of the vehicle. Most importantly for e however is the overall reliability, and that is 5 stars!

Overall very reliable vehicle. Great fuel economy for a minivan.
Typical mechanical failures are a bit premature, e.g. front brakes every 65K, A/C failed once in each vehicle within 6 yrs, front bearings and struts also, but typical of domestic vehicle

Nice ride
I have owned this vehicle for two years now. It is comfortable and fun to drive. It seats seven and still has room for groceries or whatever else I need to transport. I have never had any problems or repairs, it has been very reliable. The only negative thing I can say is that it not very fuel efficient. All in all, I am glad that we chose this vehicle.
