2001 Pontiac Montana

Good family vehicle
We liked the look of the Montana. For the mini vans of its age, it seemed more stylish than most. The interior was comfortable. At the time, we had baby car seats and they were easy to install with the vans safety features. The car seats were easy to access and get baby in/out of the vehicle. The rear was roomy for storage. The van was a smooth ride. However, before the 7 year mark we were having issues with it. We expect our vehicles to make it to 10 years before major mechanical problems occur, so were disappointed in the reliability of this vehicle.

2001 Pontiac Montana

Been a great minivan!
I bought this van in 2006 used through the local Pontiac dealership. It has been awesome! It is very comfortable to drive and ride in even on long trips! Fuel economy is great and has a large tank so it lasts awhile. It's almost time to get something else and I will miss it for sure!

1997 Pontiac Montana Transport Extended
This has been a comfortable and useful car for me, quiet inside and out and with enough power for passing and towing a moderate load. Fuel economy is not too bad for a 6 cyl 3.4L though I always wish for better.

Great family van
Great family van, seating capacity is great and fuel consumption is great on long trips but only so-so for city, but I think that's pretty normal for a larger car.
Seats 8 comfortably and first thing to go was the breaks, but that was because I left it still for a few months in the snow.
Very decent car.

Great Van
I have been extremely happy and would definately buy another one. By far one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Lots of power when you need it as well.

room for the whole family
this vehicle was great for carrying the kids, their gear and our pets without cramping anyones style. Did well with long and short trips.

Good van
I enjoy this minivan. I like and don't like the layout of the vehicle. I wish the rear seats would fold completely down into the floor, and that the middle bucket seats were moveable. Not a huge fan of the exterior of the vehicle. Otherwise, the vehicle is working out pretty good for us.

2007 Pontiac Montana

A Nice Ride
I have had my Montana for two years and it has never let me down. It is fun to drive and roomy enough for my kids and dogs, with lots of room left to stow my gear. The only issue I have with it is that it is not very fuel efficient. With the price of gas these days that can be a problem. Overall, though, I am very pleased with it and I am glad that we bought it.

Performance
We have owned this van for a few years now and it is a great car. I would get a van again next time as we all travel a lot together and it has a lot of space and even though the van was used it is great for our family. I love that both sliding doors open on either side.

It's a great ride
The Montana van is great for families. Has lots of seats and is comfortable and spacious. Not too bad on gas and is great for long distance drives. We bought it used and with a few minor repairs has lasted us a few years and is still reliable.

Durable and Reliable
I've loved driving the Montana, it's been a solid vehicle the whole time. The interior is roomy enough for 7 adults, and the seats are easy to move around for when I have cargo to carry.

Perfect Family Vehicle
Having an expanding family, the Pontiac Montana is a perfect fit. With the automatic sliding side door, with a push of a button, makes getting the kids in and out a breeze. Very comfortable, and roomy, even for those with long legs. It has the largest trunk I have seen in any mini van, making it very convenient. I highly recommend this vehicle!

bad transmissions, no heat in winter and runs hot in summer ! worst minivan we have ever had, had 6 since the first 1987 Dodge.

the pontiac montana has well comfrontable seats and it drive amazingly.when you hear it roar it will make you smile. it hulls heavy equipment and it is a gas saver when you have nothing inside of it.

it's a good ride.
I have this van since 2008. I never ever had any problem in it. beautiful van. good for family and specially for kids. fuel economy is really great on hwy. I love it.

2001 Pontiac Montana

Large van, full 8 seater
Has a child seat built in, which was a major reason when I bought it - my daughter was 1 year old. After 10 years - the van is definitely easier on the kids, compared to a brand new van we have - heavy duty hauler, have made many long trips in it.
There is no end of space at the back; and the middle row can seat 3 adults - the middle seat is not a toy seat as it is, in say the new Honda Odyssey.
Another difference - this 2001 model has headlights that come one at night; my Honda needed me to switch it on.

good so far as i have had it for 4 months now no mechanical problems but door frame came loose due to bumpy toads in the country. good maintenance follow up from the dealership and oil change was free first time

Completely Recommend
minor repairs, that were cheaper being gm, and reliable for driving with kids. Quiet ride, great mileage on highway driving, not as good with in town driving.

2005 Pontiac Montana

Decent for North American
Average. Could be worse. All cars have "known" issues. This one is no exception. Example: traction control light and ABS lights. Loose connections causing computer display issues. Poor design of windshield wipers, always freeze up in the winter months. Power door connections failing, trim falls off both of which will cause the door not to close.

Love my Montana
I absolutely love my Montana, lots of room, easy to drive, great van. The way that it handles its amazing, I love that we are able to remove the seats and fit a full length couch in it and still be able to shut the trunk back! The space in this van in fantastic
