Hyundai Sonata 1999-2016Change

This car is very reliable and safe. It is black in colour, and has air conditioning. It has safety locks for all windows by the driver's door. It also has access to the trunk through the lifting of the back seats. Also in the trunk there is a glow-in-the-dark cord in the trunk, that opens the trunk when pulled. This is for safety reasons, if you get locked in the trunk for some reason. Also this vehicle is easily maintained, and safe for family trips.

I am very happy with my Sonata so far, it has proved to be a great car for long road trips as it has very good fuel range per tank. I have achieved 985km on one tank (70L) and that was doing 100-110km/hr. I love the exterior styling and the trunk is very large and all usable space. I am really not a fan of the full electric steering on the car as it has no road feel at all it is my biggest complaint.

Drive good. I never had any problem since i bought it brand new in June 2009. I am really impressed with Sonata's performance. Hyundai Makes great car!

Great car for the guy who has a family and needs to have a grocery getter, but also has all the power you need to have a little fun with the 6 speed triptronic ( F1 padal shift) 276hp 2.0T. and still gets 8L per 100km. Looks great with the dual panoramic sunroof and chrome tiped dual exhaust and 18" alloy wheels..I personally have a dark gray colored Sonata with dark tinted windows..Great sounds system with 6 speakers and a mounted 8inch woofer in the trunk.

This car has been a real treat to own. There are only 2 negatives to the Sonata. The side mirrors aren't hinged. This was a problem when short little me pulled into the drive-through ATM and busted one because it didn't 'give" when I grazed the wall in order to be close enough to reach the buttons.
I would also like rear visibility to be a little better. I have to crank around fully in order to look through the rear windshield when reversing.
Otherwise, this car is exemplary and I would buy it again in a second.

The Car is very reliable. Very cheap car to insure. Huge trunk. Great gas mileage. Lots of head and leg room for someone who is 6' 4". Hyundai is great to deal with for regular maintenance. oil changes are less then a trip to mr lube. Lots of power in comparison to other cars test driven in its class. Base models come with lots of features

this is the first car my family ever bought out right brand new its the best car and we would do it again. its mid sized so its not super cheap on gas but its style good.

I had a great 2 years with this car. It's surprizinly good on gas, lots of power, superb performance, and a fun car to drive in the winter, especially with studded winter tires.

COMFY to drive. All bells and whistles in GLS. Heated setas, power seats, sunroof, A/C, leather setas, rear spiler, 16 inch nice mag wheels, front bumper protector. STyle nicer than Jaguar!
Nice style, good handling. 16 tires, nice mag wheels. Stylish and professional, yet fun and spunky too. V6 good on gas, plus you feel the difference over a 4 cylinder. Had the car 5 years: still enjoy it as the day I first test-drove it. SONATA is excellent bang-for-buck

I have had this car for 9 1/2 years and it has been a wonderful car. Except for scheduled oil changes and new tires and battery, this car has gone 180,0000 kilometers through all kinds of weather and has never given me a moments problem. I would recommend Hyundai's to anyone, especially single women (like myself) who want reliable transportation. This was my first Hyundai and I will always buy them, expecially with the fantastic warranty.

I bought this car brand new and have put 150,000+ kilometres on it. I've spend nothing on repairs, and below average on maintenance. Fuel economy is excellent for a mid size car and has more than enough power for me. I highly recommend the purchase of a Sonata.

Styling is fantastic and the ride is also as good as it was when I drove it off the lot!

This is my first "adult" car, having finally given up a 1993 Civic. I'm VERY pleased with the reliability of this car - every time I take it in for service it comes back with nothing additional that needed to be done. Handling with ABS and stability control is excellent here in winter conditions. My ONLY complaint on this model is around the radio, and the fact that they must've skimped on a single cheap cheap, as it won't display song titles from the radio, and when playing the iPhone only shows the correct play time up until 63 minutes, at which point it just spins at that time. Certainly nothing serious to complain about, but I couldn't say the car is *perfect*, could I? :-)

experienced difficulty with exterior parts of vehicle, attatments andsuch. it's a gas guzzler for sure, the seventy - five canadian dollars [aprx] just to fll the tank, i drive from work and home about twent mins there and twenty minutes back, and i usually fill it about twice a week, sometimes less.

This car has a 2.7L V6 mated to a 4 spd. automatic transmission. It has been in my family since the day it was brought home from the dealership; having first been owned by my Mother for the first 5 years, and then by myself since then (5 years as of now). The only surprise that occurred in this 10 year period was a faulty flex-pipe that went bad while still on warranty, and was replaced for free. With a 63L tank and a 60/40 split between highway and city driving, this car will go 600kms before refuelling.

Aside from that, the car has consistently performed excellently. It has never failed to start and almost never required anything but routine maintenance. I just recently changed the front wheel bearings, but considering that is the first major non-routine maintenance required after 10 years, that definitely speaks well about Hyundai's standards.

The build quality both inside and out is also very high. Everything looks almost exactly the way it did 10 years ago, and the materials used do not feel cheap and flimsy at all.

The most recent emissions test passed with almost no negative emissions!

I'm still driving it, and can honestly say that this car is one of the best vehicles overall I have ever seen. Kudos to Hyundai on this one: highly recommended.

One of things I love the most about this vehicule is the look/style and of course the heated seats.

One wish would be for an improvement on the fogging up of the interior of the vehicule.

The car is quite smooth, runs like a charm. The seat warmers can be a bit uncomfortable since there's only one option. The stereo adjusting behind the steering wheel is a great set up.
Honestly, I am glad I have the car. It looks sleek on the outside and in when the proper colours have been chosen. The fuel economy would have been a bit better, more km/l.

The Hyundai Sonata is a comfortable and likable midsize sedan that proves Hyundai can build cars that are not just easy on the pocketbook, but also easy to live with as well. It drives great, powerful(for a 4cyl.) looks great. Prior to this I had a Chrysler Intrepid(still drive it) and for the size difference, I have to say that HYundai has done a great job with this car.

Great car. I have nothing but praise for this car. When we bought it, we were doubtful about its performance and reliability. But it turned out to be an excellent vehicle. The fuel economy is great. We love the exterior design. The interior is quite roomy and there is a lot of leg space in the front and back. We drive to Toronto from Ottawa once a month and we can get there in about half a tank of gas.
We bought the most basic model and it came with a number of features including bluetooth, heated seats, etc. We also find the car to be quite realiable... havent had any problems since we bought it a year and a half ago.

I have had nothing but good experiences with this car. It's great on gas, performs well all year round.

Heats up fast in the winter, cools down fast in the summer. Comfortable inside, and visually appealing both inside and out.

It's not the best of the best but it's a good car... it's all what you expect for a 2012 Automatic Sedan...

everything has an advantage and of course a disadvantage... the car is light weighted which results in higher acceleration and a better performance... but when the road is windy... it's a different story!

Overall I like it but the rates advertised by Hyundai I've seen them only once! I've just filled the car, reset the trip computer and hit the Highway! but still...

Drives great, lots of room for groceries, passengers and anything else. Reliable and performs well. I love my Sonata and definitely am considering it for my next car.

drive in one everyday. heats up quickly, looks nice, and has decent power too. Always starts. I have driven from Ottawa to Vancouver in one and it was very comfortable. It was the cheapest car in its class. We were treated well by the salesman and his support. I got 140000 km on it now and it still runs like new. I was skeptical when I bought it, but it is every thing the salesman said it would be and more.
