Best in it's class for reliability, safety, power to weight ratio and feature content. Hyundai is in the top 3 of JD Power's Initial Quality study. The XL has the 290 HP 3.3L V6 engine with 252 ft-lbs of torque making it quick off the line. Quicker than the Palisade. 5000 lb towing capacity. Great handling and the solid 6 speed tranny is tried and true compared to Toyota's new but problematic 8 speed. Door handles do seem a bit cheap. Shifting P,R,N,D could be smoother. Fuel econ not that great. Hyundai's Shiftronic in Sport Mode is a real game changer for me. I have the AWD Luxury trim level which is more than enough to meet my driving needs. Best features: 1. Hands free power tailgate without all the foot waving. 2. Up-to-date tech (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) and large touch screen display. 3. Built in sun screens on the second row windows. 4. Large open pano roof. 5. Cold 3rd row AC. 6. Pull levers to fold down 2nd row seats. 7. Cool exterior design. 8. Keyless entry/comfort access with push button start. 9. Large storage bin under the cargo area floor. I keep an air pump, blanket, windshield sun reflector, my set of owner's manuals and more. 10.My wife's favourite is the ceiling mounted sunglasses compartment. 11. More interior volume than the Highlander, Durango and CX-9. 12. Loads of leg room and wide footwells. The Santa Fe XL is a no-nonsense vehicle which offer best value for your money and it's fun to drive.

The only thing is resale values seem to be very regional, so watch where you are when you want to sell or trade in.

The car is perfect for me, you feel high and the seats are simply the best. You feel in security while you are driving. I think it's a perfect car for those with kids or those who have to drive a lot during winter.

Ever since I purchased this car, I've had no problems with it. It drives amazingly. Handles great. Look slick and is very spacious inside. Love the interior and the back up camera is extremely useful. The panoramic sun roof makes for a scenic, bright ride. I love the third row seeting and the chairs are super comfortable.

Has been a fantastic vehicle with so many bells and whistles. Very attractive exterior aesthetics and inside is roomy as heck. Tons of cargo space as well. Great vehicle.

This SUV gives lots of room, fair gas economy and great performance overall. It looks good and has a very comfortable ride. The dealership was very friendly and accommodating during the trade. I have had this vehicle 9 months and have no complaints or concerns at all.

I like the car the drive was really nice maybe one day I go to buy it for the family is good when you have 2 kids and 2 dogs is more easily to travel

I am pretty happy with this car, it is the first new vehicle that I have dver purchased for myself.
There has been numerous recalls and I have had numerous issues with having to replace my battery - not a result if my error- ie) left lights on, which is why it's frustrating because there is no reason for it.
But it is a reliable comfortable vehicle and Im mostly happy with it.

With regular maintenance this car has been my rock. Love all the built-ins like the sun visors and heated 2nd row seats. Dislike the vinyl trim on the outside, it fades too fast and looks tired. I am constantly applying vinyl protectant to it. Otherwise I love this car!

I love this car. If I wasn't relocating we'd keep it and frankly we'll probably buy the same model again. It's powerful, comfortable, has all the bells and whistles and super reliable and logical. I'm a big fan!
