Hyundai Elantra 1996-2017Change

This is a good starter or budget car someone. Great purchase for a teenager or first time driver. It is good on gas, and fairly reliable. Any problems I have had have been warrantied without issue.

I have had this car for over 3 months. I like the exterior look of the car which gives a sports car feel, and the accelerate is pretty decent. But I won't recommend this car because this car is not fuel efficient, I have to refuel every 3 days literally, I kept the fuel gauage at about 1/4 to 1/2 full, and I only drive about 40 minutes per day in city limit. The engine is pretty noisy and I noticed it when I try to go from stall to city limit.

I purchased my brand new Elantra in April of 2012 after 2 month of car shopping and research. I have had nothing but positive experience with my vehicle after 14,000 km. What I love the most about this car is the design/style. The interior design is comparable to that of luxury sedan and the exterior styling looks very smooth. Fuel economy is slightly higher than the advertised values, personal best HWY 5.9L/100km and CITY 8.0L/100KM. The only area which Hyundai needs to improve in this model is the road noise. Overall Elantra is the best car in its class and is an amazing value.

This car wasn't a purchase made my be, to be honest. My husband was the one who made the decision to purchase this car. I didn't even know until he gave me the keys to this car on my birthday. Surprised, i was a bit nervous to test the car. But once i got in the car, i found it surprisingly comfortable. Even more comfortable than the first car i owned, which was also a gift from my parents. Ever since then, i like driving this car around town, wherever i go. Even though my husband has a separate car, and i also have the keys to that, i love my car and drive it instead of his. Sometimes my husband jokes that i love the car more than i love him. Luckily, he was the one who gave me the car!

Nice car fairly good gas consumption, just don't kick it in, good room inside, road noise is quite loud, no to good in snow even with good snow tires on. Fair value for price paid.
HAd to bring in for various service issues,shock gave out at 50000 km, brakes need change at 40000 km, heat shields let go needed new brackets...regular issues no major yet at 53000.

Best car I ever had! This was the second "new" car own and my first Hyundai, this is by far the best vehicle I drop. I would for sure be choosing another Hyundai when it is time to trade this one in! Thumbs up for a nice reliable vehicle!

I absolutely love this car! I went to several sites to price and build different makes and models and the Elantra GL blew the competition out of the water. The standard features that come with this car must be add ons for other makes.I did add the remote start to it but the voice command, sirius radio, heated seats and security system make this a great value. I was impressed with how the car handled in snowy, slippery road conditions. I would encourage everyone to take the price and build challenge and compare. I know you'll become a Hyundai owner after you do!

I abuse the heck out of my Elantra. I drive it for work and also for pleasure. I love how agile it is. The great power stearing lets you easily do U-turns and park. I drive many rental cars of various makes and models and I feel most comfortable when driving my Elantra. The blindspots are narrow and manageable. I have a manual transmission and still no problem after 70 000 km

This is a very reliable car. It drive very smooth and has a lot of pep. Been well maintained and cant complain about anything. Good on gas.

This car is awesome, I bought it in December and have loved it ever since. It drives well, looks great and is awesome on gas.

its not so expensive and comfortable and also smooth ride and i think hyundai have good a/s services available and also they make good quality cars so i had good experience with this car

We have had this car for about a year now. I love how it drives, how it looks and how the car runs.

It's comfortable even on longer trips. My husband, who is 6'3" and a big man is comfortable in the vehicle as well.

I would recommend this car to anyone who asked. Actually, I've been trying to get my father to buy one too!

I got my Elantra in Dec 2009, I use it mostly for city driving and really like it. Pros are the fuel economy, spacious truck space and the seats are really comfortable. It is great for parking but despite being a compact it feels fairly spacious on the inside. The passenger side dash has a scoop design to help with leg space. The cons are frustrating visibility for backing up and the back windows create an odd sound if they are full down when you are on the highway. I would recommend.

I've had this car for 20 years and I never had any real problems with it. Just typical wear and tear and maintenance

In these tough economic times fuel efficiency is important. The Elantra provides this while style having style. Leg room in the front and back are great even when we are 4 tall people of 6' or more. Pick up is quite good for a 4 cylinder vehicule. It is affordabily priced and car serve a family as well as a bachelor heading out on the town. Trunk space is surprisingly big and the 60/40 split lets you haul some bigger items. I can see how this car won Car of the Year

Very impressive fuel economy given a 2.0 liter engine, very light, reliable, easy and cheap to repair if needed

When I was shopping for a used car last year, my sister in law suggested I get an Elantra. She has a 2004 model which she has been very happy with. I was looking for something with a little more styling, but when I happened upon a lot that had several in stock, I test drove a 2006 model, and I liked it enough that I bought it.

It was a good choice. It has plenty of power, it is comfortable, and very easy to drive. Anyone who is looking for a mid-sized sedan would be wise to consider an Elantra.

It's a smooth ride, has a surprisingly roomy interior, and pretty good fuel economy. Very reliable - love this car!

This is my 2nd Elantra, never had one issue what so ever with the 1st one, this one is even better way more features, i love my elantra

I've had this car 3 years now, it has been passed down to me from my sister!

Absolutely amazing! I never thought it would last this long! My odometer recently hit 315000 kms and it still runs like a charm.
I've never had a hick with the motor, transmission (manual) !

But I did have a few problems with the body. I had a door handle break from the inside, but was able to find a replacement one quickly!

Despite the older looking body and basic comfort inside (nothing fancy, four seat and a steering), I love my car! For my next one, I want to get a hyundai elantra once again!

The Elantra combines fuel economy with some nice standard features in an inexpensive package. Heated seats, cruise control and air conditioning are standard on the GL. Seats are comfortable on long drives and there is room for the average adult in the back seats. There is good storage in the trunk too.

Fuel economy is horrible in the city (can barely get 385kms per tank). Fuel economy is fine on the highway. (Been for tests/etc...and it's NOT my driving!)

Car is horrible in the snow without snow tires.

Comfortable, sporty, and drives nice.

Based on the fuel economy, I would not purchase another Hyundai product again.

The car is reliable and fuel efficient with style and durability. It has a great warranty. I would recommend this ride to anyone that is looking to save money.

After close to 120,000 km, still no major repair or problems, always start in winter and quite comfortable for the price
