Audi A6 1998-2015Change

With a low centre of gravity and Quattro, this car is real fun to drive. You can accelerate on a turn and the car hugs the road.
The 4.2 L 8 cylinder engine takes 5 adults effortlessly up the steepest hill and actually gives a better fuel economy than my other car - 6 cylinder.
I live out in the country and my average fuel economy is 10.2 l/100km. Not bad at all.

The car has not caused me any unforseen issues. Big ticket items such as Timing Belt etc. have been done. Newer Tires have about 30K on them.

Car currently needs 1 new headlight.

This car would be perfect for a handiman who is interested in doing small repairs himself as visits to the shop can be expensive even for small repairs.

My first luxury European car - bought when exchange rates were not favorable - but it proved its worth. It is first car I fell in love with (having owned 8 North American) -and have been loving it for 8 years. Now I have to sell it for medical reasons - parting with my best friend. It was declared sedan of the year in 2005 - for good reason - and I selected it over my dream of owning a Mercedes: better value for money. I have always pampered it with Dealer servicing, and have never een disappointed. I love to plow through Canadian winter snow with Quattro when others are spinning in their tracks.. By far the best of German Engineering for a practical car - that's why so many others are copying the grill and style - but can't match the technology. Solid as a tank and will save your life in a crunch.

I owned my car for 8 years and during that time had a few big repairs. Had to do timing belt twice (first time for mileage 120k, second time for tensioner seizing almost costing me the engine 208k) at about $2000 each time, and that was avoiding the dealership. Dealer wanted $3000. 20 hours labor! Also had to do a clutch at 150k for almost $3000 (manual transmission, included $1000 OEM flywheel). The manual transmission also seized after a few days with it, covered under warranty, and dealer also found cooling system problems that they fixed under warranty. Dealer in Edmonton was horrible to deal with for service, as it took almost 2 weeks each for the gearbox job and the clutch job. It had great looks, ample room for me at 6'7", was extremely fun to drive and reasonable on gas. I had it chipped by APR which made it a lot more fun. It plowed through snow like any truck and didnt have traction control, so was even more fun in the winter! When I sold it at 225k, I could hear the turbos starting to touch off when I turned the car off and a lot of the suspension was wearing out. I loved the car but dont recommend an older one unless you have deep pockets for repairs. It was a $70g car new, bought 4 years old for $23g and sold for $5g when 12. Interior was amazing, better than my newer domestics by a mile.

Powerfull engine 4.2 V8 delivers 340hp and a 310tq starting at a very low rpm- (that its the huge difference in between this model and 3.2 v6 model which its ment to be a poor compromise for this car) , combine with a precise and smooth steptronic transmission and the quattro awd system,the SLine upgrades plus the luxurious interior and quality leather makes this car one of the best rides on the road!

Fast,comfortable, luxuriois like driving on rails.Winter ,snow,ice .....just words because the quattro system,traction and stability control its like driving on dry pavement all the time.Fits 4 tall passengers in luxurious comfort and still blows the doors of most 2 door high end sports cars. Everytime i turn the key I get a big smile on my face and i have owned it for 5 years.You MUST maintain and service these cars reguraly and they will run forever.250,000 km on mine and still looks and drives like new.I'm 53 now and have benn an Audi owner for 26 years and this 1 is by far the most fun to drive and i feel 33 driving it......If you dont turn around to look at your car at least once after you park it.....you bought the wrong car!

my car is an older car but it is really good on gas and i find it really reliable this is the best car I have ever earned an would not trade it at all :)

I have owned an Audi for years ,This is my 2nd A6 I would recomend this car to anyone that can afford it .A bit pricy to upkeep but has never let me down ,This car is wonderful on the highway the ride is smooth and leg room even for tall people is second to none. City driving gets a bit pricy but no more than any other full size car. Maintenence is very important and should be done on a regular basis to as the parts are Very expensive .Pay me now a little or Pay me alot Later really applys here!! Lots of Power behind this car !!ENJOY!!

I very much like this car too it seems to be getting better and better, it will also most likely get better.. I'm gonna but my self on asap because i think they are good investment

Awesome car and u know it... There are lots of good cars on the market, but if u r looking for a car thats good and that u can count on it, than u should look for an Audi... I have my A6 almost 9 years and i never had a single problem, only thing what that car is asking for is for u not to be cheap and give him some low budget oil... lol...

STUNNING- Fuel Efficiency is good since the STAGE 1 upgrade. FAST 330BP plus twin turbo is equal to 380-400 horsepower Car. Interior I guarantee you is bigger than the A8 and I know bc I own a 2006 A8. Outside looks like Transporters car. Seats have Audi Lumbar support, also heated seats Front and BACK. SO many options.

I have owned this car for over 4 years now and I still wake up everyday anxious to drive it. Its very stylish, powerful, comfy with great handling. Bad on gas but I knew that before I purchased it.

For the driver, this automobile is a pleasure. Great to drive (especially on the highway) and great to be seen driving.

For passengers it is very comfortable (heated seats in winter). Lot's of room for children in the back.

Sporty (265 HP and sports transmission) yet practical (4 doors and massive trunk space with fold down rear seats).

Fastidiously maintained.

My favourite. Has been working wonderful for over ten years and never dissapoints me. It is certainly worth the price and looks gorgeous inside and out. Audi makes the best cars!

I've had this car for a few years and it's been good to me. Repairs can be costly due to being an Audi and you will need a mechanic who is familiar with these cars. Car handles great in snow, all wheel drive. Great features, heated leather seats (even in the back), sun roof, love the wagon feature! It's a big car with a 6L engine so it's not great on gas but can hold a lrg bike in the back when the seats are folded down.

It is a great car however parts can be more on the expensive side. But Audi provides a great warranty, and their service is second to none. I would buy another car from them in a heartbeat.

I bought this car awhile back. I still love it till this day. I recommend anyone that likes audi to get it. Really reliable car.

ive had my A6 for almost 2 years and im here to tell you that it is the best car i have owned, and trust me ive owned a few cars, its very comfortable and reliable. the audi A6 had got to be my favorite car out of the whole audi collection by far

I own this car for just 2 months, but already love it! just one look at this car makes people want to drive it. The legendary Dutch design is beautiful. Inside the car looks like a room in six star hotel. Seats are soft, but just enough. I don't even feel the seatbelt on me. When I drive A6 I don't hear anything outside the car. I bought a car with a manual transmission and it really feels like you are a pro racer (I know the law and don't drive above 60 in city). In this model, it's not about fuel efficiency? but about style and speed. So, if you guys want to impress your girlfriend, I suggest you to buy one!

my parents had this car and i thought it was one of the pretiest cars not to sure on the machanics of it but i like it and i would like to live in the past for awhile

This car has been awesome for me. Is a tank in the snow and grips the corners fantastic in summer. Inside the car it is luxurious and comfortable, with personalized settings and heated seats. All electric options. Comes equipped with an awesome bose sound system. This car really is a dream

my neighbour and a close friend of mine have the a6. It is an elegant car and is very enjoyable. If you are the type who loves to drive sports cars this is the car for you. Very reliable, the performance is outstanding and very comfortable.

I loved driving this car when i owned it. The all heated seats including the rear. Memory seat position heated mirrors, AWD, tiptronic transmission for those days you are bored. Also the car was very nicely equipped with a 3.0 Quattro engine. Heavy car so not tons of take off, but you feel safe and in control driving these cars. If i could afford the maintenance on them i would drive audi for the rest of my life.
