Mitsubishi Lancer 1991-2017Change

I bought this car used from a dealership, and I had initially experienced some issues with the engine that were an expensive fix (like $800+).

However, since that issue has been resolved, it has been a nice reliable little car able to get from point A to point B with no incident.

It's not a very fast car, but somehow it goes through fuel relatively quickly which is kind of annoying and costly when going on longer trips.

The exterior design of this car is quite amazing for 2003 in my opinion, it looks quite modern for a car that's going on 15 years old!

Lots of trunk space which is nice.

I like the feature where you can open the locking(!!) gas cap lid and also trunk from the inside. Especially like that the gas cap itself is attached, because in the car I owned previous to this which was a 1994 Chevy Cavalier, the gas cap lid was not attached, and did not lock. I would end up losing it, or getting it taken sometimes.

love this car, just bought one basically new.. so smooth and styish. only spend about 25 bucks a week on gas going to work and back and light town driving.

172,000 kms without any trouble ,,, well built with no rattles ... exterior paint seems to be too thin, prone to chipping ... overall, I loved it :D

Have had for over 7 years now. Have experienced no issues with it other than typical tires and breaks. Would recommend to anyone

I've driven my evo in a few amateur off road rally races and it has performed well. Has great power when you need it. It's also the car I drive to work everyday and I feel safe when I travel. Fuel economy is not the best but the style and design outweigh the fuel consumption. Great car! Love it!

Bought this used as my first car in November 2016, and so far I have no regrets over choosing this model. Yeah I know it's not an Evo, and I'm well aware that it's not as good as one, but as someone with a limited budget I am proud to drive this around my city. It has everything I could have wanted in my first car, a sunroof, air conditioning, power windows and locks, leather seats, heated seats, custom audio system with XM Radio, etc. It runs like a beast too, compared to other cars I have been in when you tap the gas just even a little but this thing shoots off, but it's not like you can't control it. The fuel economy is a little disappointing, when I bought it I was told it was similar to a Mazda 3 in regards to gas mileage but I rented a Mazda 3 a couple years ago and I have to disagree on that, it's not terrible, just not exactly what I was expecting. If you are planning on buying this car, try to locate one at a Mitsubishi dealership, free oil changes and rim repair for life.

I have had this vehicle over 10 years now. I make long trips through traffic everyday and I found that it has been very reliable and good on gas consumption per Kilometer.

only now after a decade is it beginning to show it's age but with the knowledgeable experts at Merson Mitsubishi motors. I get great results and keep it at it's best

only a few months ago, did it start having a bit of old age issues. With my knowledge and specialized mechanics. It has been very reliable. The fuel economy is quite good as well.

Low on power cheap plastic interior but amazing car the suspension is amazing the feeling is great fuel economy is beyond believable and you can count on it everytime

I got this car a few months ago from the dealership. Even though I got it used It's an amazing car, good sound system, nice AC, nothing bad has happened to it at all, overall great car

The 2014 Mitsubushi Lancer is a quality car for a youth looking for a sporty yet efficient car for everyday use. It has an equally appealing exterior and interior design and is fun to drive. However, it's not the best for long period drives, as you sometimes have your ears get plugged if all the windows are shut. The fuel efficiency is about expected for a 2014 model sedan and is a fairly reliable vehicle. Overall it is a great car for a youth or young couple, but definitely not a family car if that is what you're looking for.

great car as a first car it has a lot of nice qualities and the look of the car is eye grabbing, very comfortable and has a stylish interior

It has needed a few repairs, exhaust leak, caliper replacement ($$), E-brake adjustment, etc. All in all, good little car.

Car has great handling, very fun to drive. Is very reliable, have had for over 3 years and never had an issue. I love Mitsubishi for their great warranty but thankfully have never needed it!

this was my very first vehicle and I have no regret getting it. The car performs up to my expectation and so far it has been very reliable. I have registered around 100k km in 7 years. The only thing that is broken now is the left power mirror. Everything else runs fine and the car still runs great.

There is really no car that matches up to the Lancer GTS for the price. It looks sporty/sharp, great torque up to 100km/h, Maintenance free, and the mileage is nothing to complain about. If you are looking for a reliable car with a little bit of edge, look no farther. The Lancer GTS is yours from about $8,000 - $14,000 used.

love the sporty aggressive body lines of the car.
hate the outdated and generally cheap looking interior.
the GT model has all black leather, upgraded sound system, and sunroof. all of these features are great and are must haves if your not getting a ralliart/evo.
if your buying a SE model, don't waste your money.
in terms of gas mileage, it is poor compared the cars in its class. takes $50-60 to fill and get 580-630km a take.
the biggest complaints I have about this car is the road noise and the CVT engine. 0-60 the car is overly fast. quite sluggish. this is on par with pretty much every complaint about the car.

The boxier, more upright look, and the distinctive shark-snout front end look refreshingly different. Steering is also nice and direct, while handling is crisp and responsive. Plus, there's back-seat space for adults. Driving enjoyment is another big plus. The engine is perky at lower speeds with the five-speed manual. You get plenty of power and torque to move with confidence.

I currently own my 2nd Lancer, I love the design, speed, control, comfort and style of this car. My first car was a 5-speed with a sunroof and when I upgraded, I switched to an automatic, but wasn't able to get the sunroof that year. The automatic is much more practical for winter in Saskatchewan, but in the future I would by another 5 speed just to have as a summer car! :)

Have the CVT 2010 terrible pickup crappy fuel economy.
Comfortable reliable had it for 5 years without any issues and its used as a daily car.
The only thing this car lacks is fuel economy and get up and go on its pickup. very slow and sluggish

This is a spry car since it comes with a manufacturer built in intercooler (most Mitsubishis do). You get most of your torque at around 4000 R.P.M not 6000+ RPM like most cars. So you are faster of the line. Light and nimble fun in the winter never got stuck. Cold a/c. Great on fuel. Lots to love about this car.

I have never had any issues with this car which I have been driving over two years where I needed to spend money on repair other that regular maintenance. It has great acceleration and feels great. Heated seats, bluetooth and much more.

Everything works, starts up fine even during extreme temperatures. Bluetooth connectivity really helps when driving. Good sound system. Has not given me any troubles.

very good on gas, great horse power, fun, sporty specially the gt model witht he lather so comfortable, with heated seats!!! very nice car, the awd system is just amazing!!! 40 dollars to fill up the tank it lasts me 550km so i get a good month driving it!!!. it is just awsome i love it. the sound system is just so good its a nice smooth car going around corners and the warranty is just amazing!!!
