Mazda Miata MX-5 1990Change

My 1990 Miata has been more reliable than most newer cars I have owned and is tons of fun to drive, especially on those curvy country roads. Parts are cheap and readily available and makes a great project car as everything in the engine bay is open and accessible. Always get stares and has not failed to put a smile on anyone that has taken a ride in the car. Highly recommended.

I recently bought this car used with 307,000 km on it. It is a 1990 Mazda Miata with the 5-speed manual and still has the original engine and original transmission.

Owners through the years have replaced the exhaust, radiator, one headlight assembly and the soft-top roof.

Even at this age and usage, the Miata still drives with all the fun it did in 1990. The engine still pulls well and the transmission still engages pretty well.

The interior is cramped, but at 6'1", I fit in it with the top up or down. The vehicle is bare-bones basic and does not feature ABS, traction control or airbags.

As can be expected of a car this size, the trunk is tiny.
