great family car
We got this car used from the dealership. It was taken cared of very well and we are continuing its proper maintenance. Its very spacious for a van based on a sedan's chassis.

Fun, Family Friendly and Fast
We have a child and were looking for our first car. My first company car was a VW Jetta which provided unreliable and expensive to fix. The Mazda 5 we purchased has proven to be quite the opposite - fun to drive with a little zoooom when you tap the accelerator with masses of room for stoller, food shops and friends.
Not only is it nice to drive and pack in the family but it looks good to. We were interested in purchasing a car that has resale value and after one year our 2008 burgundy Mazda 5 still looks hot on the road.
There isn't one great thing about this car rather it is the total package that is fantastic: good handling, peppy speed, spacious and comfortable, sliding doors for putting in your child into the car safely, great sound system... the list goes on.
I would highly recommend this car to all - even if you don't have a child it is a great car to buy.

Aesthetically pleasing and solid
The MAZDA5 looks great and is a great vehicle for an active family. It has low fuel consumption rates and can survive hundreds of long trips across the continent. The car rarely stalls and feels great to drive.

Versatile, Great Car.
Good for gas mileage, handles very well, has enough power to get you where you need to go when you need it, and has enough space to carry up to 6 people. Only complaint is the stereo setup being very integrated into the dashboard, making it difficult to swap a new stereo in unless you have a custom piece to fit it. Other than that, it is a very nice car.

Bogus
battery died...next one is dying. my middle seat back is no longer adjustable. floor model does not come with dual climate control but I find that the whole car's interior climate is spotty. had to have the driver's side head lamp checked twice and I think that Mazda service centre replaced my expensive windshield wipers with cheap ones without my knowledge! The back wind screen is expensive to replace but I would have like the option for a split back as that may be easier to grab and go. battery in key fob is wearing out. needs more like USB outlet and rear lighter plug-in. Thank you, so much, for reading! :(

Mazda5 - Great Family Vehicle!
It's small, fuel-efficient, comes with manual transmission, and yet seats 6 passengers comfortably. Great for small families with small kids. Looks great, and performs great. Husband finds the seats a little small and tight; easily rusts around back wheels.

It is an awesome ride
This car is the finest car ever. It does 100 km so easily. It has tinted windows, bluetooth and a bunch of other stuff. The car is the best car ever. I can't ask for a better car. I have it in black and the waves on the exterior make me feel so nice. Don't get me started on the interior. It is very nice, You should buy it.

Most Stylish Minivan!
Best minivan hands down! Comfortable for everyone in the family with plenty of storage, and both the 2nd and 3rd row seats fold flat to fit just about everything! The GT model is fully loaded - heated seats are one of my favourite options. Not a single complaint about this vehicle. It is fun to drive and great on gas too!

A little bit of yuk!
I bought a 2007 Mazda 5 and it was a nightmare! It would lose all power while driving! it would simply no be letting gas get through. it was very scary as my children and myself were almost killed a number of times.I spent hours upon hours upon hours of my time with mechanics and business men trying to find the problem and NOTHING! they could not find what or why the problem was happening, so after spending thousands of dollars on trying to fix the car I had to take it off the road. I put it up for sale for half of what I originally paid for it and of course I could not let someone else buy it without letting them know the horrific problems that I had. It wasn't very promising to find someone that wanted to buy my Mazda 5 with all the problems.Well to my surprise someone was actually willing and wanting to buy my car with all the problems. So it was sold Yay! Now at least I got back a few dollars from my horrific time with the Mazda!

Very Economical
The fuel economy is what drove me to this car, and I haven't been disappointed. It's no hybrid, or electric car, but the gas guage hardly moves over the 3 hour drives to see family. The two extra seats in the back take away your trunk but I've had average size adults in them with few complaints. It's perfect for moving my little family around, and I'm pretty sure I'll buy the same next time.

Great car
I find the gas miledge changes week to week, But in generaly I get between 450-530 km per tank. Costing me 58-56 to fill.
Seating is comfortable although small in the back. Luggage room is very limited. I also do not car for the fabric of the seats, it catches anything and everything (sticking to it)
The car handles great and accellerates good as well.

Mazda5 - 2008
The versatility of the Mazda5 is the best feature of this car. From transporting people to transporting building materials, bikes, tools, Mazda5 carries it all. Folding 2nd and 3rd row seats allow many interior storage configurations. Optional roof rack has been home to a Thule storage box for extra room. I am tall (6'-5") and i have found this to be a comfortable car - good headroom and seat comfort which is hard to find in smaller vehicles. Performance has been great for day to use. Overall a good choice for anyone.

I would buy this car again
I have found this to be reasonable in its fuel efficiency, and comfortable to drive. I really like being able to reconfigure the cargo area to carry the various things we haul around. We had trouble with the power steering quitting right after our warranty ran out. Apparently this was a well-known problem with our model, and our dealer took care of the problem for us, for no charge. I find it a little hard to parallel park, because it is hard to sense where the corners are. The back windows are not the best for shoulder-checking; I have to be really careful not to cut someone off because I can't see them.

It's worth every penny
The seats are comfortable enough to manage long and short car rides; the only gripe I have about the interior design is about the lack of a passenger armrest. I really don't understand why there isn't one, but it usually is always mentioned in conversation when I'm driving people.
Other than that, it's a smooth ride and looks great both at night and during the day. The headlights provide optimal visibility so I never have any problem with sight or animals at night.

I think it's a very sporty "mini" van. Handles like a car and has seating for 6, whats not to like? The millage is a lot better that SUV or bigger vans so it is a nice compromise for getting the 6th passenger seat.

great little van
Assumed the lease on this miniature minivan and was pretty happy with it overall. The interior has everything you need within reach and I love the steering wheel audio controls. It also shifts really smoothly and has a bit of kick for minivan. While the Mazda 5 doesn't offer a ton of space, it's very comfortable and the minivan sliding doors are a big help when you're dealing with kids and car seats! Unfortunately, you can either have extra passengers or gear because there isn't much cargo space behind the third row seats; although it's more manageable with the seats folded down and a maximum of four people in the vehicle. We drove the Mazda 5 from Ontario to BC and back and it performed beautifully the whole way. Although we did have to add roof racks and a cargo bag before the trip, we were pretty comfortable for two adults and two kids, even on days when we were driving up to 8 hours a day and with a few weeks worth of gear, stroller, playpen, etc. While another child and a dog means moving up to something bigger, we are still really happy with the Mazda 5 and would definitely have driven it for many years to come if we hadn't needed the extra space.

Superior handling and excellent use of space
This mini mini-van of a car rides comfortably like a full-size mini-van and performs just like a car. It's fun to drive and has lots of amenities for its price point. Seats up to six or fold one up to four seats at the back and you can haul a lot of gear. I am a bit disappointed though on the rated fuel economy (wish it had SkyActive technology) but still better than a full-sized mini-van, SUV, or cross-over. Over-all, its great for hauling people and/or cargo and again its fun to drive.

Not your typical mini-van but that's a good thing
The 2007 Mazda 5 is a great vehicle for those looking for something sporty that is actually very fun to drive. To be honest I believe that the Mazda 5 is a great option for those in need of a minivan that handles more like a car. When it comes to everyday chores the back life gate along with all the cargo room it has to offer is a real plus. My wife and I really like the side sliding doors as they come in very handy as well. If I had one complaint it would be that the model we own didn't come with cruise control which is a must for those who do a lot of highway driving. One reason I purchased the Mazda 5 was due to its versatility and its great amount of cargo space. All I can say is that if you are looking for a fun to drive minivan the Mazda 5 is the vehicle you want.
