2007 Infiniti G

Very nice car
I bought this car new in August 2007. The pearl white colour makes it sparkle in the sunshine. The best colour for an Infiniti. The handling and performance is very good. It is still fun to drive after all these years. The car has had regular maintenance from the original dealer for the most part. A few times the oil and filter has been changed by a local garage. The original dealer is a 130 Km away. The original wheel bearings on all tires were changed when the car had 40,000 Km on it (about 4 years old). That is the only mechanical problem the car has had. ICBC considers the car to have been in an accident. A deer caused $4,000 worth of damage to the passenger side mirror and passenger door in 2009. I have the itemized bill from the body shop. All in all, this Infiniti is still a great car. .

Fast and luxurious
My G35x has been overall a great car. Good enough looks to get complimented frequently, fast enough to cut through traffic when needed and reliable enough to get me home everyday.

Power, Comfort and Reliability
I purchased this vehicle at 81K and have had no issues. The previous owners had it fully dealer maintained so it felt like a new car when I got it. With 306hp there's plenty of oomph and with AWD there's plenty of traction. I live in Sask and with winter tires there's no issues getting through the brutal winters here.

Pros:

- Power
- Reliability
- AWD
- Good size. Bigger than a 3 series BMW but smaller than a 5 series
- Bose Audio system pounds. 10 speakers with a woofer
- Intelligent key. Hard going back starting a car with a key
- Nice large colour screen
- Power everything, HID's
- User can select driver preferences
- Great sounding engine, looks awesome too, with its dual air air intake system

Cons
- Terrible cup holders
- Paint peeling from steering wheel
- Track up/down on steering wheel audio control is backwards
- No heated steering wheel like on Nissan Maximas
- Gas mileage could be better but it is brutally cold out
- cheap feeling gas door and my gas cap plastic piece is broken
- An extra gear in the transmission would be nice

Overall this is a great daily driver. I previously owned a 2006 BMW 325i with sport package and although it doesn't handle as well I don't have to worry about reliability, especially well known electrical gremlins found in most German vehicles.

Awesome car
It took a lot of time and patience for Infiniti to finally be recognized as a brand that can rival Lexus and Germany's big guns. Today, I believe that the G35x is an excellent way to spoil yourself and look good all the while. Just like in 2006, the moment I had to return the car to Infiniti was catastrophic to my mental stability

This is a fantastic car!!!
I have been very happy with the Infiniti G37x since I bought it back in 2007. It has exceptional power, handles like a sports car, yet it is a sedan and it has lots of room for a family. The trunk is a good size too. My intention was to trade it in last year but I love the car and see no reason to get rid of it for awhile. It looks like it is new and the interior is impeccable. (bought cocoa mats from day one) If anyone is looking for a great used car, I would highly recommend the Infiniti G37x. I may very well buy the same car if I ever decide to get rid of this. And this is from someone who leased cars for 25 years getting a new car every 3 years!

It's got BIG pros and cons
I love my car. In the winter it heats up fast, the stereo is loud, it's got plenty of power, handles fantastic, engine sounds sweet when lacing the throttle. With all these pros there are cons. My driver side door freezes in the winter, so I have to get out the passenger seat. The interior looks very nice, but there is a cheap black plastic film on the steering wheel and the door which scrapes off over time and cheapens the look. Gas is premium and to fill it up costs $90 - lucky to get 550km to the tank. Coffee holder SUCKS! Get any coffee to go, put it in the coffee holder, turn around any corner at any speed, and watch the coffee tip over - either on your pants, or down the side of the seat for the cream to rot and smell.. Overall, I do love my car, but it has it's downfalls.

Luxury car
This car is beautiful. The ride is super smooth and it handles like a dream. It makes driving fun. The interior console is set up very nicely. The leather is supple and smooth. Initially I had to get used to the seat warmers but they're a nice feature to have during the winter. Another nice feature is the cameras in the back. Great for parallell parking.

2007 G35S
I've owned three Infiniti vehicles (2 G35s and 1 QX4). My last Infiniti, and the one this review is about, is a 2007 G35 Sport. At the time of purchase, I debated very hard whether to get the AWD G35x or the RWD G35S. Due to a number of features that were important to me (VLSD, larger brakes, Sport seats, paddle shifters, etc) I ended up going with the RWD G35.

My first winter with it, I immediately purchased a set of Blizzaks for it and ran them on a set of Nissan 350Z wheels. With a good winter setup, I had ZERO issues with it and had no regrets going with the Sport over the X.

As far as the car is concerned, I absolutely loved pretty much everything about it. My G was loaded so it had all of the techno toys at the time. The interior to me at least is very classy, modern, uncluttered, and overall very attractive. The sport seats IMHO are exceptionally comfortable.

The 3.5VQHR performs extremely well and has a pretty decent sound at WOT from inside the cabin. At cruising speeds on the highway however it's quite quiet. The downside for some might be that it takes premium fuel only. Everyday driving, I averaged about 10.7L /100KM. Overall, the G performs extremely well and is a very capable Sport Sedan.

Reliability was nothing but flawless during 4 years of ownership and had zero mechanical issues. The only thing that was done outside of routine maintenance was that I needed my grille replaced due to abnormal pitting. It was replaced within one year of ownership under warranty and I never had the issue again.

My only regret was not keeping this car.

From day 1 one i loved my G35 coupe. It gave great performance and the sexy blue top it off. I had gotten street challenges all the time but never did one because I love my car. I wash it every weekend with interior cleaning and buffing.

Love my G35x
The G35x had plenty of power, in fact, there are not many cars on the road that can really beat it in term of quick acceleration. The car handles beautifully, great braking and steering. There are two drawbacks with this car. First is the gas consumption. It gets around 12l/100km around the city which isn't bad except for the fact it takes premium only! Don't try regular gas either, you loose a lot of performance! The only other con is the gas pedal. It is very stiff and a car with this much power, it can tend to through you when you least expect it. Some people may not like that, I giggle like a schoolgirl everytime!!!

Bought Used - Decent Investment
Most of my problems with the vehicle are due to the previous owners inability to maintain the car. Purchased at 89,000kms I had to replaced the Transmission, Front/Rear Diff, and Transfer Case fluids. Brakes were in serious need to repair as well. However this is beside the point, on the whole it is a fantastic car. My only gripe with the car itself is the fuel economy. I've even noticed this is not a point really advertised by Infiniti, even when it is a huge item these days. With calm smooth driving you can obtain an average consumption of about 8 to 9L/100km. If you put the car's power (306HP) to use you might actually see the fuel needle move. When shopping I compared this to a 2008 BMW 3 Series and easily preferred the Infiniti G35x.
