2006 Infiniti G

Trim: G35
by Mike7855 on 07-17-2016
Great ride all around.
Fast, sporty, luxury, powerful, loud. All the adverbs that describe a sports car.
The G35 is the perfect example for a sports car that wont necessarily break your pocket.
Extremely comfortable, all factory settings are stunning, you wouldn't have to drop a single cent to make the car "look better", or "sound better".

Small trunk space, but who's going to buy a car like this if you have family? It's enough to fill your trunk comfortably with groceries, or a suitcase for travel.

2006 Infiniti G35 was waaay ahead of it's time a decade ago.

best car i owned
this car is better and more reliable at 10 years of age, than some of the newer cars that are 3 times the price and less fun to drive and have much less luxuries in it.

Sweet driving car
With its low mileage it is a real cream puff. We have had some repairs carried out on the car, mainly because of its age, not its mileage, so it is in excellent running condition. On long trips, such as driving to Boston of Chicago from Toronto, it is a great highway car with driver and passenger arriving in good shape. Around the city, its maneuverability makes it easy to fit into parking spaces. I enjoy the power and flexibility of the engine; plenty of torque across the spectrum means highway merges are safe. Its 3.5 litre engine drives at highway speeds or town speeds very comfortably.

Feels like a car worth twice the money
We have owned an Infiniti G35X for 4 years and loved it. The only reason we are selling is my wife wanted a new car.

Very Powerful and Reliable
I've owned this car for a year and never encountered any trouble or any failures from the engine, breaks, lights, transmission. Very reliable and consistent. The 298hp (Only for manual transmission) and the additional AEM Air intake delivers an incredible acceleration. Just the sound of the engine brings you the unique sensation of driving a sports car.

incredible car for sure
had this car for 5 years, and loved every minute of it. considering the price, the performance was incredible. super pickup, and amazing brakes that could literally stop on a dime. they do take a little bit of time to get used to, but who's going to complain about super brakes?

it's a comfortable and quiet ride, but you can still get that deep rumble at high rpm's.

i loved everything about the car. the only thing i didn't was the exterior styling, but they fixed that the very next year with the g37. you will not be disappointed if you buy this car. you will get a luxurious car, with great performance, and impressive reliability. all for a very reasonable price.

Great all around, bad audio
This car is getting a bit dated purchased in late 2005. Its a great car nonetheless for a Canadian winter. It drives like a tank in winter and super agile with 280 HP in summer. It has great control and feels like a part of my limb.

What is bad and annoying to me is the way the factory BOSE audio system is integrated, Infiniti decided to integrate climate control and audio into one console, meaning you can't get after market. Further, the audio quality is bad.

Gas, oh yah... this thing is doing 3500 RPM at around 140km/h on a 3.5 L V6 engine. This translates to very bad milage, this ain't your Corolla. I get about the same milege on this that I do on my 4runner.

All in all, recommended and very reliable, All I have had to change since I have bought this car are brakes/tires and belts with around 125000kms and going strong. Shocks seem to be giving up but can't complain, been a great car.

The G35 is beautiful, yet problematic
I have had nothing but high hopes for my 2006 g35 coupe. Unfortunately it had only lived up to its beauty but not its reliability standards you would expect from infiniti being a "luxury brand." In my opinion this vehicle has left a great visiual impact with very little emotion feeling or connection due to its major "over hyped power." Its a quick car but no where in the realm of what it was engineered to be. Strap a turbo to it and it becomes a whole nother monster but the 3.5 really is neither economical nor powerful, it's just blah in between both.
I'll be purchasing an M3 next time around for a true performance vehicle that is luxury, power, and curb appeal.

Awesome car - great sports suspension - true enthuasiast ride
Amazing performance. Friends call it an "adult skateboard". The black on black color draws stares when clean! Decent gas mileage, great handling - even in the winter with 4x winter tires and rims. Very comfortable for short and long rides, truly decadent BOSE sound system and great navigation package. Must be seen and driven to be appreciated.

Japanese Engineering at its finest
I had bought this car back in September of this year from a private ad/sale and the price was really attractive and I just thought it would be too good to be true.

The mileage was at 178,000KMs and I thought it needed a lot of work done. The owner had provided all the paper work for the repairs/maintenance done - from the brakes, tires, suspension roads, bearings, etc.

The ride feels really nice and you can definitely feel the pickup for the 280HP VQ 3.5 engine. To top it off, the previous owner had added an aftermarket cold air intake as well as a plenum spacer (specializing for Nissan 350z/370zs) and for Infiniti G series vehicles. Thus giving a total output of 320HP.

Of course the HP does come with a price - it consumes a lot of gas. My average is 9.4L/100KM combined. Filling up premium grade 91 octane helps as it increases the fuel efficiency.

Overall, I am looking forward to driving in the winter to see how responsive this car handles considering it is an all wheel drive model as well.

2006 Infinity G35
The G35 Coupe is the recommended choice for those drivers looking for an equal balance between sport and luxury. The sleek aggressive stance of the vehicle combined with Infiniti's renowned and unique performance sound will definitely turn heads.

The suspension in the car feels stiff and the seats can cause some discomfort over long drives, but the overall experience of the ride is remarkable.
