Cheap gives you cheap
Although it was not expensive to buy second hand, this car has needed several repairs due to its age. It is not very well insolated either. However, the parts aren't expensive to change and it is fuel efficient.

I love it and I get good mileage out of the car. I would definitely recommend this car for anyone that is looking to save few bucks on gas.

Nice reliant automobile
This is a reliable car that maintains its value over the years. Repairs are quite affordable because the parts are so easy to come by. Plus, it was designed so that the average owner can easily figure out how to do small maintenance things like changing bulbs, saving you money.

Obviously somewhat biased
This was the first car I'd owned in twenty years and I wanted to get something that was somewhat sporty without screaming mid-life crisis. I also considered fuel economy and 'potential' re-sale value.

My primary reason for purchasing this car was to take photos. Well, to take photos in places which would be otherwise difficult to get to without a car.

In the approximately three years I owned this car we travelled some long distances together [hence the 'miles'] and it has proven to be quite comfortable and very reliable. If it were not for my next trip[s] being across the Pacific I would take it with me.

Great Economical Car
Great as a first car.

It is good on gas, reliable and maintains price.

Comfort is good but road and engine noise are noticeable. Car starts easily at any condition, from the high 30's in the summer to the -20's in the winter. Performance is to be expected from a 1.7L 8V engine, so it's not really a car that has great stopping, cornering or speeding power. Parts are reasonably priced, aside from the expensive timing-belt service.

Reliable A-B, especially on a budget
I bought my 2005 Civic brand new after loosing my patience with my old 300zx's garage time...

Things I liked the most:
1.> Good resale value
2.> Never broken down
3.> Good fuel economy
4.> Not too bad looking

Great gas mileage
This car has given me very few problems. I get 600-720 km on a tank of gas, depending on the time of year. Gives a smooth and quiet ride. The interior feels spacious and there is plenty of room in the back seat for people with long legs. The trunk has plenty of room. I have had no problems with the transmission or engine.

Amazing and reliable
I bought this Honda Civic in 2009 and it is amazing, I got it for a really good price and everything still runs like new. It is a 5 speed manual transmission and the gear shifts are really smooth and it makes the car fun to drive around. This car is really durable and parts for a Honda civic are really cheap and easy to replace yourself. I would recommend anyone to get a Honda Civic because they really durable and reliable cars.

Perfect for anyone trying to keep costs down
I have owned this car for 100 000KM and loved every second of it.

Pros:
Amazing fuel mileage! On one trip with extremely conservative driving on flat roads with no cold starts I logged 5.4L/100Km, that's on a '05!!! Average mileage (traveling under 110Km/hr) was about 6.4-6.9Hwy which is still amazing.

Good suspension for cars purpose. Is soft providing for a comfortable ride, yet holds strong when cornering. Very responsive drive for category.

Amazing reliability. 100 000Km of driving without a single mechanical issue! Electrical system is even able to handle 5 days in -30C temperature without block heater!

Good high end power for an economy car

Amazing trunk space.

Cons
horrid low end power. To make an effective pass on the hwy when traveling below 120Km/hr you must shift down to 3 for any effect.

slightly disappointing mileage when traveling above 125km, Still not bad compared to competition.

Interior gets a little uncomfortable in long drives. Can be remedied with lumbar support.

Best commuter car
This car has been simply great. I've done all the regular maintenance, but beyond that it hasn't cost me a penny. It starts in the coldest weather, it handles well in the city and on the highway, and it is so good on gas that my friends with hybrids are jealous. It is fun to drive, too. If I were still single, and didn't need more space for roadtrips, kids' gear, skis, etc., then I wouldn't even consider selling it.

Very reliable
I bought this car with 122,000 Miles 5.5 years ago it now has 270,000 and haven't had one problem yet! I just drove it from Toronto to Milton. A 1500 mile trip and got 42 mpg! My wife bought a 2003 civic brand new and has 137,000 miles on hers and hasn't been back to the dealer, EVER! The dumbest thing we did when we bought hers was buy an extended warranty. LOL I will buy these civics for the rest of my life. I am now looking for one for my mom.

It's reliable...
Got my civic in 2008 certified used from Honda dealership. Car is very reliable so far (less than 150K). Everything else is cheap and feels unfinished. Transmission is just terrible and affects fuel economy. Who puts 4 speed anymore? On a 1.7l engine? Car is way too light, driving over Burlington Skyway feels unsecure. I used to love hondas, but this is my last one.

Dependable Honda
This is a reliable car. It has been serviced twice every year at Pickering Honda. The 5-speed manual transmission along with the 4 winter tries on rims make it a great winter car.

Its a pretty terrific ride!
This car is very flexible fast efficient and amazing. I had this car for about 5 years and so far it is going very good. I don't have to pay that much of a interest or insurance because of it model and date is was manufactured in. My kids both boys and my wife like it very much i would like to keep this car for at least another 3 years upcoming and hope the new releases are to what i expect, such as a built GPS system and a avx plug in and usb ports included.

It is comfortable and a boss car with economic price and maintenance price
This car was introduced to me by a friend of mine as a affordable car for a student. I was not sure at first place but as I consulted dealers and people owning the car all I heard was complement and downsides were negligible for my use. This car burns less than other similar class cars and runs such a couch, noiseless and comfortable. Just consider my own is used and worked 7 years so news are more reliable.

Old, not Obsolete
This car isn't flashy, but it's reliable, quiet and fun.

There's not too much to be said; if you're seeking excitement, some other brand might be better. If you aren't, give it a go and see.

Not exciting but very dependable
I have owned this car for 5 years and it is currently getting close to the 300k mark on the odometre. It is not an exciting, luxurious car by any means but it has ended up being a smart purchase for me. It has required nothing but regular maintenance and two alternators. Parts have been inexpensive and it's even inexpensive to insure. It is pleasant enough to drive, not thrilling, but has more than made up for the mediocre performance with exceptional reliability.

bought it new with only 13 kms on it and it was awesome. great for road trips , camping and living life. If I was to buy another new car this is what I would buy. Great resale value as well. My first car ever was a 1979 civic that I called peanut as it was brown and looked like a peanut .
