Ford Focus 2012Change

This car is great on gas. Interior is nice. I own the base model but it still has great features. I'm a mom and have no problem fitting 2 car seats and a third person comfortably in the backseat. The trunk is large and has enough room for a stroller and groceries! Great Car.

I don't have any experience with this car, only a little. The only bit of experience that I have is my friends and family having it, and letting me drive it sometimes. When I first got the chance to be able to drive this car it was an amazing experience, I felt so relaxed inside of it.

I had never owned a Ford, was hesitant at first when looking for new cars. However, I would never go back on my decision to purchase this particular car for anything. Fuel efficiency is awesome. The interior and exterior styling is unmatched. Unlike Nissan, Ford has proven that its cars are very reliable.

The Ford Focus 2012 excelled my expectations. It is the perfect car for me and my family. It is so comfortable, small yet very spacious. Has all the perks of today's technology.
Love how I can talk to my Focus, and ask to do things for me, like phone people, while I'm driving. I like that the lights switch on and off on their own, no worries of battery dying for leaving them on. Brakes are excellent for Canadian winters. Warm seats that can be moved up and down. Excellent fuel performance, and it is so reliable, had no problems whatsoever. The trunk is so roomy, and overall craftmanship is of superior quality. Love my Ford Focus :)

Eighteen months ago, I started looking for a functional commuter car in a five-door hatch format, with running costs an important consideration. Having always driven sports cars, I wanted something that drove well, or at least decently. My search zeroed in on the Kia Forte 5 and Mazda 3. The Focus wasn't initially in my sights, as the 2012s were just being released and the price seemed high, but a second look and it was in.

Two drives in the Mazda 3 and Focus couldn't break the tie in my eyes, but Ford offered significantly more on my trade-in than Mazda was willing to, so that clinched the deal.

My real-world summary, 18 months in, has the Focus as an attractive car with genuinely sporty driving dynamics (with optional sport package) compared to others in this class. Real-world fuel economy has been good, with a 7.8 L/100 km average across an even mix of city/highway driving over some 34,000 km to date. Other major pros include: a comfortable-for-me interior and a bang-on sport option package – nothing I didn’t want and everything I did in a reasonably priced package.

Major cons include, unfortunately, questionable reliability: I've never been left in the lurch, but have had 3 recalls, another technical issue (outside of recall), a recurring suspension noise the dealer can't fix, and an already loose-feeling shifter. I also find it has an unacceptably wide turning radius for this size car, and poor sound quality from the base radio.

Unfortunately, I have mixed feelings overall about this car.

It's very nice and comfortable. I like the technology in it, like the phone, you can talk using your car as a phone! I very appreciate the fuel economy and the interior design, but the exterior design could be nicer than this. I don't regret to have buy that car because it doesn't disappoint me, I like it and I'm very happy with it, but you know, every Ford car is a great one, so it's normal that mine is almost perfect! I save lots of money, time, being in a comfortable and performance car, what a nice choice!

Love the car but the auto tranny is really bad. Its hunt for gears and is very sluggish in low gears. Other than that its a great car.

The car is driven almost everyday for around 30 minutes and it does so perfectly. It does lack power, but considering the size of the car, you get what you get. It came with the microsoft sync touch screen and also the voice control option and they both work, although they do have a few bugs every now and then, like sometimes the entire screen will be blank and won't go back to normal for a couple of days. It has great handling and has never skidded or swerved even in slippery conditions. The car is also very small on the inside, even for a small car. All in all though, it is a great ride!

I Love my new Ford Focus. I will be driving it for many years to come.
At my age I plan on this being my last car. I have a lot of miles I plan to drive.
Weather conditions will be snow , blizzards. rainstorms.
I know that no matter where I go or what my road and weather conditions will be, I will feel safe and secure in my focus.

The technology in this car is amazing with the my ford touch sync system. Voice commands run smoothly without a hitch! Sometimes when starting off from a complete stop, the transmission lags a bit which is because of the dual clutch gearbox the car has (meant for a Ferrari in my opinion, doesn't work too well on this type of car) I would not recommend this car to the younger crowd if he or she is into performance but other than that the car is great for the average person!

I love this car. Its everything I wanted in a new car great looks, handling, ride and gas millage Taking into consideration I'm no Mario Andretti. I love all the way you sync, voice commands, with the car functions, GPS telephones etc. The two areas for improvement in future models I would suggest are the road noise within the cabin while driving and the the cheap interior trim on a car approaching the $30,000 mark taxes in.

The 2012 Ford Focus sedan is a nice well-rounded car and offers more trunk space than its hatchback variant. The suspension is a little floaty for my liking, but it still remains relatively composed through turns. Ford has done a good job with the interior design of the Focus which feels contemporary.

If I didn't own another new vehicle I would keep this one! It's a great little car, but not what my family needs in a second vehicle as we have a farm and two 100+ lb dogs and children.
