Ford Focus 2005Change

Decided to get a new vehicle....price and time was right.
Trouble is after purchasing the new vehicle...I wish I would have kept it. It is a good little car, I like the sound system better than the new, the heater warms and blows better, I like the console and cup-holders/storage spots better than the new as well. Also the position and how you sit in this car is far better.
It has not been a " lemon " at all.
Never let me down....if this same car was brand new and selling at a good price I would buy it again hands down!

Not my car, but have driven it a lot. Let's start out with saying its a budget car. If you don't want something that's loud, not comfy and poor build quality than don't get it. If you want something that's dirt cheap, peppy, reliable, and good fuel mileage with cheap insurance costs than you want this car.

Pros; it's rather quick for being a 4 cylinder, handles very well nice tight steering, it gets pretty good fuel mileage, it's not as good as let's say a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla, but it's good. I love the station wagon design of the car. Looks great. Love the sound of the turn signals. Heated seats. Other than that, there's nothing that stands out.


Cons; 4 speed automatic transmission, very unsupportive seats, not good for long drivers over 2 hours. Very very loud on the highway, like loud to the point where you can't hear the radio. Radio quality is horrendous. Worst I've ever heard. The whole interior is made out of plastic, so expect everything to rattle.
Does not go over bumps well at all, every little bump comes into the cabin of the car, it sounds like you're dropping something on the ground. Just smashes over the bumps.

Arm rests are bad. Interior design is nasty too. Steering wheel is uncomfortable for long trips as well. Doors don't seem solid, they seem light and flimsy. Let's just say when Ford designed this car, it wasn't to be comfortable. Gas peddle is WAY too touchy. Press it too hard and you'll get a speeding ticket.

Overall; budget conscious people ... It's a great car. Picky people like me, don't do it. You'll be disappointed.

This car never give me any problems, just oil changes done every 4000kms. Motor runs very good is almost like new, motor very clean no leaks everything dry as a bone.
The consumption of Gas is very low comparing with cars of same class 9 litres /100k.
Driving Manual is very good take us from snow spots.

This little 5 speed is lots of fun.. its peppy and comfortable and reliable. Best of all its AWESOME on gas!!!

Nothing but great reviews from me, I love this car and it kills me to let it go! It handles great, has good braking, and good power! Definitely more powerful than most near stock 2.0L cars out there! The black on black with red accents also make it look really sharp.

I have owned this vehicle since new (Oct 4, 2004) and have always had it serviced on schedule and maintained at the dealership where it was purchased.
It has been a very reliable vehicle and the only time it has stranded me was due to the battery finally dying after almost 9 years. It has a new battery now (Sept 15, 2013).
It would be a perfect vehicle for anyone with dogs or a small business.
Only selling it because a new vehicle has been purchased and room is too tight for both.

Looks great, comfortable ride, cheap on gas, lost of cargo space, this car is reliable, I will miss it. If I could go back in time, I would buy that one again.

I think it's a good car. I have do so mutch kilometer with it. It is strong. I like it's durability. I have buy it used but I didn't ha big problems.

Although my car is a bit older, I hope the new models are designed towards woman. As it is now, the steering wheel blocks the instrument panel, hate that. Also, the rear wiper will not hit the window, ever. I have tried everything short of actually paying a mechanic to fix the arm for me. Other than that, I love my car, am very happy with it.

Very low maintenance and nice ride. Good on gas and comfortable to drive. Very affordable repairs. Roomy enough for four people comfortably.

Never had any issues with this car. It is perfect for getting around town, and reliable for longer trips. It is comfortable and there is plenty of room for passengers. The only thing I didn't like was the cup holders. They did not hold a coffee cup securely.

I love this Ford Focus that comes with many nice features. Heated seats, mirrors, steering wheel volume control, the car has the bells and whistles of more expensive models and brands, but with the reliability and affordability of a Ford.

Would recommend to anyone, I love this car.

Good starter car, fuel economy is decent, suspension is loose, meaning its not a tight turn kind of car, don't feel small bumps on road, heater core works great, and brake pads last longer than I expected since I am hard on them.

This car has good looks as it was a European design, interior was unfortunately fitted by the Americans and look quite dull. Engine is not the most powerful but is one of the most reliable 4 cyl engine out there, chassis is responsive yet provide a relatively comfortable ride, standard transmission is very easy to drive with a lighter clutch than most other standards out there. It is a fun car to drive that is practical at the same time. Mechanically quite reliable, nothing major other than the usual wear and tear, fit and finish is not top notch though as you would expect in most American cars.

Great car. City and highway fuel economy is great , sporty with sx model and comes in various colors. heated seats powers steering is a plus. Factory sound cd/ stereo and speakers rock.

I wish I was able to afford a nice car or this brand of 2005 was like 2012 lookin but for 2005 price lol. I like it, the diving is smooth, easy and no complains since I dont afford that much.

great car with excellent options and fuel economy it is an excellent one person or second family car

Overall this car is a well rounded affordable car. Only repair done was replacing break parts about the 6th year in.

I bought my Focus used about four years ago, and I haven't had any major problems with it at all. It have served me well for my daily commute to work. However, if you are starting a young family, don't expect to fit more than one child seat in the back; it is quite cramped.

I have been very impressed with this car. Fuel consumption is reasonable and a very smooth, comfortable ride.

The focus is dependable and not a bad looking car. Its easy to maintain and rarely need s much more than regular maintenance. The cost of the vehicule itself keeps it within price range for a vast amount of income earners.

this car could do anything. I once brought home a love seat in the back and a couch on the roof. Headroom galore. Yet it felt small when trying to park.

I think this is a great little car. Great on gas, great driving experience, car handles well, easy to maintain.

It's a smooth and reliable means of transportation with great fuel efficiency from this great car! I love the color inside the car and the space inside.
