Before experiencing the vehicle, it was branded as unable to carry its own weight. I noticed this in my first ride as well. It possesses the unfortunate mix of a truck base without an adequate truck engine. The struggle is most pronounced on upward gradients, where the wight becomes an issue. Still, this was one of the few vehicles back in the day capable of moving large families, and it fulfilled its mission. Even with more people loaded, the front seats offered tons of leg room. Another drawback was the noise factor- you can barely hear yourself think when the windows are closed.
