2007 Chevrolet Suburban

good drive
works great, gets me from point a to b, ok on gas and mileage, sturdy and dependable. Would recommend it to anyone, kids love it, doesn't look the best on the outside but that doesn't really matter to us, as long as we can get to appts and what not we are happy

Working in luxury
This truck can carry anything and everything. Seriously! The 3rd row seats are removable, and the 2nd row seats fold flat for easy loading of any equipment or materials.

The rear-view parking display makes parking easy and quick, And the proximity sensors are very good.

The fully loaded surround sound makes music and movies come to life.

The truck has a built-in navigation system, and is ready for you to hook up OnStar or your XM Radio account.

The V8 Flex-fuel option makes this huge truck actually reasonable for the long drives and vacation-type trips.

A great family vehicle, or work vehicle. It is flexible for either, and meets these needs easily and in style!

Family Truckster with Great Styling!
We originally purchased our Suburban while looking for a more "sporty" alternative to our Chrysler Town&Country mini van.

While definitely not the same "class" of vehicle, the Suburban featured all the amenities we loved in our van combined with the additional benefits associated with a full frame, V8, 4 wheel drive truck. It was like getting three vehicles in one. The interior featured the heated leather seats, remote start, premium entertainment and sound system and all the "toys" and space of our Town&Country. The new generation exterior offered the stylish sporty appearance we were looking for and the 8 cylinder, full frame, 4 wheel drive chassis gave us towing ability and Winter driving peace of mind. At just over 7000 pounds with on demand 4wd this truck will go through about anything Winter can throw at it.

The only downside in going from the front wheel drive 6 to the four wheel drive 8 was the expected loss of fuel economy. Although with the active fuel management system we're still getting roughly the posted fuel economy, 15ish MPG city and 20ish MPG highway.

Overall I couldn't be happier with our decision to get the Suburban. I wouldn't trade it for the world...

Awesome truck
It's heavier than we'd like and it still doesn't have a fold-flat third row, but the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban is much more refined than the previous truck. If you need a full-size SUV with maximum capacity, the Suburban is a compelling choice.

Pros

Attractive interior with solid materials, comfortable ride and seating, smooth V8, accommodates up to nine passengers, class-leading cargo capacity.
Cons

No fold-flat third-row seat, acceleration can be sluggish when fully loaded, hefty curb weight dulls handling.

Big and comfortable
Vehicle is loaded other than navigation. Leather interior heated seats etc all add up to a comfortable ride. Ride quality is excellent. There are numerous sensors on this vehicle that can be very annoying at times. Example gas cap not screwed all the way down engine light comes on and remote start doesn't work. Gas mileage not too bad on the highway about 21 to 23 mpg as long as you don't have a real heavy foot. Gas mileage in town ... open your wallet approx 13 to 15 mpg. If you want a do everything vehicle to haul the whole family and a large trailer. This will do the trick.

Very Spacious
I endured a long road trip with lots of luggage and many passengers. Even with all the luggage and passengers there was still plenty of room for fun and games!

Great for a large family and towing
We are a family of 8 who is very active and does a lot of towing. It is roomy, comfortable and tows very well. It would be great if GM offered a diesel option to help with fuel economy. Waiting for the redesign in2014. It has been a very reliable ride.

Best all round for larger family
I bought my 3/4 ton used 4 years ago and put 60,000 KMs on it mostly road trips. No mechanical problems whatsoever, just regular oil changes & fluids. Tons of power. It can haul anything and you hardly notice. Revs nice and low while pulling over 7000 lbs of boat, etc and the 3 kids & gear. Lots of leg room so no complaints on trips. Great for skiing too with the 4x4 & roof rack. The Bose stereo is awesome!. The best truck I've ever had getting to the mountains with all your gear and friends. A dream on the highway - solid and quiet with power to spare.
