2007 Chevrolet Impala

by Randy4535 on 11-27-2017
history of car
the car was very reliable. It was giving me over 30 miles to the Imp. gal. Problem was poor head gaskets. Had them replaced twice on warranty but started leaking oil again after a bit. It leaked a liter per 1000 miles.Did the alt. and water pump and belt. I did put 150000 km. on it thou until son crashed it.

a good all round car
good handling in all road conditions, nice interior with all controls and clocks in good positions. nice leather seats and very comfortable and easy to be cleaned. large trunk with lots of space. I find that this car is quite hard on gas and is also suspect to bad front wheel bearings. I had to get two front ones fitted and there is not yet 50000 klms on it yet. I do like the front wheel drive as it is very good in the snow. hopefully the new ones are easier on gas, and have better wheel bearings

A Drivers Dream
Never let me down! Only routine maintenance was required. Never failed to start even on the coldest winter days. V6 is a must in Northern Ontario. This car loves the hills! And passing transports is not a problem. When you put the pedal down it responds, "Lets Go!"

Chev Impala let me down.
When I purchased this vehicle, I asked for one that doesn't depreciate quickly. Hah! That sales lady had one over on me right away. Then 3 months after buying it, the rear drivers door body molding caught on the front drivers door molding and ripped part way off. By the way, that's NOT under warrenty. It started getting colder and I found out that the heater wasn't working properly. It took 5 years to fix it so it worked. By that time i was looking at buying another vehicle. I would hit bumps and the whole vehicle would shut down, I had to park it and restart it more than once. My husband bought a new truck and it started messing up right away too. We used to be firm General Motors (Chev, GM) people but after these problems, and some trouble with the sales and service people, I will never buy another GM vehicle again.

Reliable car
I bought this 2007 Impala LS with a 3500 V6, 211 hp with 29000 km on it. It was a former rental. Had it on a couple of trips ti the US and got mileage in the 32 mpg range with 4 adults and a very full trunk.
Like the fold down rear seat and large trunk. I do mostly city driving where the mileage 20 mpg.
Aftermarket remote start caused orig battery to give up after 5 years which is OK for a factory unit.
Tire wear is excellent especially with Michelins. Like the
XM/Surius satellite radio and steering wheel radio controls.
If considering one, buy a year or two old with low km like I did and save about 50% to new car price. Also plan on keeping unit for at least 7 to 10 years to really stretch your dollar.
Would definitely consider another especially a 2012 or newer as these have all have the 3.6 litre 300 hp engine

Solid, reliable, substantial performer
The LTZ has all the features one might hope for, including heated leather seats, remote start, sunroof, XM, Bose sound, etc. Great performance from 3.9 L engine, including decent fuel consumption, especially on highway. Huge trunk, plus big bad seat. Great value when compared to other large sedans.

Chevy Impala
Have had a Impala for almost 2 years and feel it is a great car. Really enjoy driving it and as we live in an area with alot of snow fall it has been reliable and easy to handle in snow and other wintery conditions. Its a great car, and would purchase another one.

Smooth and Stylish
Impala has been around for a long time for a very good reason. The style and reliability of the vehicle made it a solid car to have, one that not only is reliable to have but, stylish and a pleasure to drive. It gives you the comfort and enjoyment of a luxury car but, without the high price that comes with a luxury car.

Love my Impala!
My 2007 Chevrolet Impala is the first car that I've ever purchased. It is a wonderful car that I bought for a reasonable price (55000km, 4 years old, $10,000). At first, I was looking for something more sporty, so I didn't even look into the Impala. However, now that I have been driving it for a year, I am absolutely thrilled with it. It's comfortable, pretty good on gas and service is affordable on it. The tires wear a bit hard on the lateral sides, so make sure to get them rotated regularly!
