Buick Allure 2005-2015Change

I bought this car with 260,000 km as a replacement for my Mazda6 that got dive-bombed by a deer. I can honestly say the Mazda was five times the car that this one is, save for power (tourquey 3.8L V6). However even power seems to escape this car as now my Catalytic converter is plugged causing the car to hesitate miserably. Overall , the interior and exterior design feels overly cheap, locks malfunctioning, driver side door occasionally will not open from the inside, forcing me to exit out my window or passenger door. ( I read this is a problem with the door actuator going bad..... something that honestly just shouldn't happen) Fuel economy is terrible (although fixing the exhaust may improve that). Oil dipstick stopper broken twice, no explanation as to how, ABS and traction control lights on, may or may not work, airbag randomly shuts off (hopefully just the sensor), had a doorhandle replacement before I bought it, but for a car that's only 11 years old (at the time of purchase) this is ridiculous. Cheap, shoddy piece of abysmal junk that I regret buying. I want my Mazda back.

sytlish midsize car. Has all the comfort features one would need. Has a roomy interior and rides like your on a cloud. gas mileage is good for its class. Have not had any issues other than nnormal wear and tear. Definately looking at Buick again for my next new car.

I love this car. It's nimble, reliable, great pickup and looks good. A bit of a gas guzzler, but it makes up for it with its ride. Very responsive.

Very Stable and very comfortable to ride in cant feel the bumps in the road and hasa good kick in the engine to get going, very spacious and come with a boat load of feature that are handy to have!

This is an excellent car. I own two Buick's and have been very pleased with the low maintenance cost. It is a comfortable car with lots of power for highway driving. I feel safe driving in this vehicle.

This vehicle has all the bells and whistles we require and we find the 40/60 rear seat to be extremely useful when transporting large packages.

It provides good, reliable transportation with minimal maintenance required and exceeds our expectations.

We find the split bench in the rear is excellent for taking bulky parcels.

This vehicle is great in the snow and is a terrific highway cruiser. Great mileage for a 3.8 litre V6 and there have been absolutely no mechanical issues with the car. Dealer told me these cars last forever.

I am second owner of this car. It truly is a beautiful vehicle and hate to part with it. It is fully loaded

This is a solid car with surprisingly great gas mileage on the highway. It has great handling and easily sits 5 people.

What a great car. This car rides like a dream and handles more than adequately for a larger non sports car. On the highway, the ride is smooth, quiet and provides a sense of security. Fuel economy on the highway is great, it is the city stop and go that chews up your fuel with the Series III 3.8 L engine. This car just feels tight. It has loads of head room and leg room for tall folks, and those with long legs. The seats are very comfortable, and the controls are functional and within easy reach. The instrument panel is rather boring, but the rest of the interior features and creature comforts make up for that boring panel. Visibility both front and back and looking in the rear view mirror and side mirrors is above average and again gives one a sense of security as you can see in all directions. I would recommend this car for great value. I cannot attest to long term reliability yet as I have a long way to go yet with only 34000km driven, but I have done nothing but oil changes to this point. Hard braking is straight and smooth, however corner braking does reveal some body roll, but this is a luxury car, and not a Porshe. I have also noticed that handling suffers somewhat on bumpy roads, however, I have never owned a car where that is not the case.

I love her, and plan to drive my Allure, (Lacrosse), as it is known in the US, for the next 6-8 years.

Wasted money by purchasing the extented warranty on this. During the standard 4 year and 1 year extended warranty I only had one issue with the rear door look knob coming loose and falling into the door. In other words, a very sound reliable vehicle. Very quiet and smooth ride.

bought with 80,000km now has 150,000km. Car is mostly highway driven (100 km highway commute to work ) replace front brakes and rear sway bar links almost yearly, trans slips regularly , engine loses oil between 5,000km oil changes, remote works intermittently, headlights have went out briefly and came back on several times, on star attenna leaked into dome light. I have done all scheduled maintenance and rust proofed. Only minor rust on underbody but rust is starting around all door handles.( fellow employees report valve seals replaced, electrical problems, radio blacked out and one ECM on 06-09 models)

In 8 years - with just routine maintenance - have only had one repair! Just the heater fan. Can't go wrong with this one.

Have absolutely loved driving this vehicle...such a smooth ride with tons of power and loaded with extra features.

This car is built very well, it needs only general maintenance to keep in good working order, no major parts have needed replacement. Smooth ride with a powerful 3.8L engine gives this heavy car lots of pickup. Good legroom for a tall guy, decent storage space. The car is a little heavy on gas and the stock console has a clumsy layout, but it's totally worth it for the safety and reliability this car provides.

Own it since 2007, it makes all back seats guests happy and comfortable. Driving it is fun especially on High way for 4 hours non-stop riding, you feel it is reliable and safe.

This car has been reliable and luxurious to drive. It is a pleasure behind the wheel! We hate to sell it. It's one of the best cars we have ever owned and is fully equipped with all the option available.

i have owned my 2005 buick allure for four years and am very pleased with it to this point. i have just over 100,000 km's and have only had to do oil changes and a heater core flush as far as maintainance goes. i like the inside styling and the imitation wood paneling as well as the hard plastic dash. i have never plugged this car in and that speaks to it's reliability considering i live in edmonton and our winters can be severe. my only real complaint about the car is the gas mileage. in the city i am lucky to get 18 miles to the gallon whcic is a bit disappointing considering it is only a six cylindar. i don't be on the hiway very often so i can't speak to how the mileage there would be. over all i am very happy with my buick allure and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable north american car.

Absolutely the best car I have ever owned. The CXS platinum package provides the Allure with an incredible drive train and suspension combination. The power, performance and handling capabilities of this car that rivals the BMW 5 and 7 Series and yet superbly economical.

This is one of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. The precision handling of this car definitely rivals BMW's 5 series. The Allure CSX model uses the same drive-train as Cadillac which is incredibly reliable; great on gas but with this cars optional platinum package it gives you all the horse-power and performance you could ever ask for. The interior is plush leather with wood accent trim. The seats are incredibly comfortable with loads of head room and rear seat leg room. This car has a very large truck to handle those crazy shoppers. Excellent car at an excellent value.

has owned one and it the best car i had ever been in because it is good on gas and it is smooth on the highway also the saets are really confortable for long ride.

We bought this car used last year from a dealer with very low mileage and it is a CXL version. We wouldn't change a thing about it. I especially love the comfort and the way it handles. Lots of room for passengers and trunk storage.
