2000 BMW M

This car is mint. Driven by a family man!
Mint 2000 BMW M5, with only 121,000 km! Since 2003 I have owned this car and it has cost me less to maintain than most vehicles. The summer rims are newly reconditioned and the summer rubber is new. There is a complete set of winter rims and tires. The brakes are new. No door dings, flawless paint. This car is perfect!!!

Its a monster car
This car by all means is prestige and performance. It gives you pleasure when you drive. Handling gives you feedback from the road. Toque whips you against the seat and its very rough and tough when you want it to be. Fuel economy is garbage and that is the only draw back.

Unreal - you must try this car
The M3 IS the ultimate driving car under $100k. Highly recommended. The handling is like an MX-5, the speed is like a corvette. The style is sleek and subdued. Love it

Best handling car ever produced!
In my experience with driving and racing, I must say that the '98 BMW M3 is by far the best handling car on the street, and still holds up well on the track. The stock staggered wheel setup may cause slight oversteer under hard cornering situations, but this is ideal in a street-oriented vehicle. The wide rear tires provide plenty of grip for the 3.2L straight-six engine. The car is very easy to work on with basic tools and there is a large aftermarket product base, providing plenty of upgrades specific to BMW's. Owning this car makes me respect the fine German engineering that went into it's development. It's FAST, handles amazing, and always manages to make me smile like a goof when i put the throttle down.

Fast on the road and on the gas
I've purchased the car pre-owned in 2012 and had it for a few months. This was was the fastest sedan but is now conquered by the newer BMW M5 model.

the V10 engine is superb, it's as fast a Ferrari 360. The SMG is a little slower because it's a single clutch but I'm comparing it a newer model with Dual Clutch.

the car doesn't come with heated steering wheel or rear heated seats. I have the head display, it's super cool but hardly any use.

I'm getting 17.8 L/100 km and that's with conservative driving.

the idrive or navi system is slow but was good back in 2007.

cup holders can't hold anything bigger than a regular water bottle.

the verdict:

if you want performance without sacrificing the wallet for gas, this car isn't for you. Otherwise, enjoy the ultimate bmw experience.

Unparalleled performance
What an amazing car! No car offers everything but this comes so close. Handles extremely well. 285hp at the wheels distributed by an LSD is perfect for everyday driving rain, snow or shine. Want to quickly pass that lumbering vehicle you're trailing in a heavy traffic? Piece of cake. Want to enjoy that sweet intake/exhaust note on that on-ramp? Get ready to crack a smile.

I don't have this car anymore. Can't afford the gas. And it's too expensive to maintain. So if you don't have deep pockets this car isn't for you. Even an average 3 series gets expensive to maintain. The cooling system is junk in these cars. Treat this car like a baby it'll be worth it.

E46 M3's look gorgeous on the outside even after 12-6 years. Inside they've dated quite a bit. What I wished it had was all the options that were offered to the non-M coupes. No adaptive headlights! For the market that doesn't get the CSL, this is the best.
