great car for the winter with the all wheeel drive package AUDI made one og the best car in history i will for ever drive a adui i dont see any other german vehcile like BENZ or BMW

Audi a6 was my first car i really loved it was fantastic for a new driver like me. I would recommend audi a6 if you love comfy rides.

I owned my car for 8 years and during that time had a few big repairs. Had to do timing belt twice (first time for mileage 120k, second time for tensioner seizing almost costing me the engine 208k) at about $2000 each time, and that was avoiding the dealership. Dealer wanted $3000. 20 hours labor! Also had to do a clutch at 150k for almost $3000 (manual transmission, included $1000 OEM flywheel). The manual transmission also seized after a few days with it, covered under warranty, and dealer also found cooling system problems that they fixed under warranty. Dealer in Edmonton was horrible to deal with for service, as it took almost 2 weeks each for the gearbox job and the clutch job. It had great looks, ample room for me at 6'7", was extremely fun to drive and reasonable on gas. I had it chipped by APR which made it a lot more fun. It plowed through snow like any truck and didnt have traction control, so was even more fun in the winter! When I sold it at 225k, I could hear the turbos starting to touch off when I turned the car off and a lot of the suspension was wearing out. I loved the car but dont recommend an older one unless you have deep pockets for repairs. It was a $70g car new, bought 4 years old for $23g and sold for $5g when 12. Interior was amazing, better than my newer domestics by a mile.

my parents had this car and i thought it was one of the pretiest cars not to sure on the machanics of it but i like it and i would like to live in the past for awhile

i love my car so much all my family and friends are so jealous its so fast and smooth i love it! some times when im driving people stop beside me at a red light and roll down there window and yell "SWEET RIDE" and i can't wipe the smile off my face

This car is a dream to drive and it seems to be better built than the A4's from the same generation. Although you will not be saving anything on gas, the 4.2 is a sweet sounding, very capable and reliable motor. Highways are what this car was built for as it practically idles down the freeway.

The interior is very well crafted and comfortable (182,000 kms and still no squeaks or rattles), and the rear heated seats are always appreciated by passengers. The trunk is absolutely massive, no fear of having to shove things in the back seat. The Bose Symphony stereo still packs a lot of bump 12 years later thanks to the trunk mounted subwoofer.

The weak point on these cars are the transmissions. Have them serviced regularly. Audi "lifetime" fluid is not to be trusted in this case. During test drives pay close attention to rough shifts or slippage and any noise from the front end. There are a lot of joints to replace but they are very durable if recently done.

Other than normal fluid and servie items (set of brake pads) this car has been pretty cheap to maintain and still gets looks going down the street.

it has power and performs excellent in all weather. feels good to drive very comfortable. not too bad on gas. just love it
