Issue: Under certain conditions, the seat belt reminder chime may not sound when you start the vehicle and your seat belt is not buckled. Canadian regulations require both a seat belt reminder sound and visual telltale when a driver is not wearing their seat belt. Safety Risk: A seat belt warning that does not work correctly may not remind you to buckle your seat belt. Not wearing your seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will email a notice to owners and provide an over-the-air firmware update in early February 2022 to fix this problem. There is no further action required if your vehicle has firmware release 2021.43.101.1 or 2022.4.5, or a later release.

Issue: Tesla is recalling vehicles to remove a feature called "rolling stop". In certain situations, this feature can cause the vehicle not to make a full stop at a stop sign. Note: This problem only affects vehicles in the Tesla Early Access Program with FSD-beta. Safety Risk: A vehicle that doesn't make a complete stop at an intersection could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will email a notice to owners. Vehicles affected by this issue will receive an over-the-air firmware update to remove the "rolling stop" feature. There is no further action required if your vehicle has firmware release 2021.44.30.15 or a later release.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the front and rear suspension knuckles may not have been properly heat-treated. As a result, a knuckle could bend or break. If this happens, there can be a sudden alignment change that could lead to a loss of vehicle stability. Safety Risk: A loss of vehicle stability could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will notify owners by email and advise you to contact Tesla service to arrange for an inspection of the front and rear suspension knuckles. The parts will be replaced, if necessary.

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software error could cause false forward collision warnings (FCW) and/or activate the automatic emergency brake (AEB) system. If this happens, the vehicle could come to a sudden stop. Note: This problem only affects vehicles with firmware release 2021.36.5.2. Safety Risk: A vehicle that brakes or stops suddenly when there is no risk of a collision could create an increased risk of a rear-end crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will email a notice to owners. Each vehicle affected by this issue has already received an over-the-air firmware update to fix this problem. There is no further action required if your vehicle has firmware release 2021.36.5.3 or a later release.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolt that attaches the D-ring on the driver and front passenger seat belts may not be properly tightened. As a result, the seat belt may not work as designed in a crash. Also, the seat belt height adjustment may not work properly. Safety Risk: A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will notify owners by mail and arrange for an inspection of the bolts that attach the driver and front passenger seat belt D-rings. Tesla Service will replace the bolts and repair any damaged threads, as necessary.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolts that attach the brake calipers to the wheel knuckles may not be properly tightened. As a result, the bolts could loosen over time and the caliper could contact the wheel rim. If this happens, damage to the wheel rim could cause a sudden loss of tire pressure. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of tire pressure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will notify owners and arrange for an inspection of the brake caliper bolts. They will be tightened, if necessary. If damage from a loose or missing bolt is found during the inspection, Tesla Service will arrange for a tow to the nearest service center for repair.
