Nissan Versa Note
Model Overview
In 2014, Nissan redesigned and rebranded its Versa hatchback as the Versa Note. While it still competes in the subcompact class, it boasts an interior that encroaches on mid-size space, but with thrifty pricing and fuel economy to appeal to budget buyers. Versa Note also impresses with its on-road refinement, which contributes to the car's high-value impressions. In 2016 and 2017, Nissan redesigned the Versa Note's cabin and exterior, respectively.

Excellent space planning in the car, inner space is like mid size sedan. My son almost 6 feet tall sits comfortably in rear seats. Maximum storage space within the car. Fuel economy and driver handling is fantastic, specially for parking in narrow spaces. Perfect for 1st time drivers or female drivers. Good value for money.

Issue:
On certain vehicles, the rear view camera system does not return to the default setting when the transmission is shifted to reverse. This could cause a reduction in rear visibility if a driver had previously adjusted the camera display. Canadian regulations require that the rear view image returns to its original setting each time the camera is turned on.
Safety Risk:
Reduced rear visibility could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the software for the rear view camera.

On certain vehicles equipped with a mechanical key ignition system, a spring in the ignition switch could wear and break. This may allow the ignition key to inadvertently move from the ON position to the accessory (ACC) position while driving, causing the engine to shut off and the airbag system to lose power. The resulting loss of motive power, and change in steering and brake forces could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Additionally, in the event of a crash, this may also cause the airbags not to function. Correction: Dealers will inspect the lot number of the ignition switch, and replace it with a new one if it is affected. Note: Until the correction is performed, owners are advised to remove all objects from the ignition key ring, such as additional keys, key chains, etc.

On certain vehicles, the inflator diffuser installed in certain side curtain air bag modules may not have been manufactured correctly. If the vehicle were involved in a crash that warranted side curtain airbag deployment, this could potentially lead to the diffuser detaching. If the diffuser were to detach, it could become a projectile in the occupant compartment, which could result in the side curtain airbag to not fully inflate. Both of these conditions could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the side curtain air bag modules.

On certain vehicles, the driver's foot could contact the edge of the center console lower trim panel, which could impede smooth accelerator pedal operation.
