For 2008, the Lincoln Mark LT pickup truck adds new standard and optional features. The new reverse parking camera is integrated into the auto-dimming rear-view mirror and is invisible unless the transmission is in Reverse.

The Mark LT is powered by a 5.4-litre V8 engine with four-speed automatic transmission. It is strictly a Crew Cab with part-time four-wheel drive, but can be ordered with a 5-foot-5 or 6-foot-5 pickup box.

Standard features include 20-inch aluminum wheels, automatic climate control, six-way power heated leather seats, 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat, wood and metallic instrument panel insert, wood and leather steering wheel, power sunroof, cruise control, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with back-up camera, garage door opener, engine block heater, limited-slip differential, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, running boards, trailer hitch receiver, skid plates, floor mats, six-CD/MP3 stereo with SIRIUS Satellite Radio, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, speed-sensitive variable intermittent wipers, deep-tinted windows, temperature gauge and compass display, and trip computer.

The Mark LT is based on the Ford F-150, which undergoes a complete makeover for 2009. It's still unclear whether the Mark LT will also be revamped, or if it will be replaced by a high-end version of the F-150. While few buyers will use it for actual work, it's a big and luxurious model that competes with the Cadillac Escalade EXT, itself an upper-end version of the Chevrolet Avalanche.
