For 2012, changes to the Lexus IS lineup are in trim. The IS250 RWD can be optioned with a Touring Edition 1 package that adds heated leather seats, power sunroof and xenon headlamps. The convertible models can be optioned with a Special Edition Package that adds exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels and a red leather interior, and the Series 2 Package on the ISF has a new 19-inch wheel design.
The IS lineup consists of the IS250 and IS350, in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive; the ISF, in rear-wheel drive; and the IS250C and IS350C convertibles, in rear-wheel drive.
The IS250 uses a 2.5-litre V6; it comes with a six-speed manual in rear-wheel drive that can be optioned to a six-speed automatic that is the only choice in all-wheel drive. The IS350 uses a 3.5-litre V6 with six-speed automatic. The IS250C also uses the 2.5-litre V6 with six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic, while the IS350C uses the 3.5-litre V6 with six-speed automatic. The ISF uses a 5.0-litre V8 with eight-speed automatic transmission.
Features on the IS250 RWD include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, six-CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and USB jack, XM satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, cloth seats, rear-seat pass-through, keyless entry with pushbutton start, outside temperature gauge, multi-information display, dual illuminated vanity mirrors, auto up/down windows, cargo mat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, floor mats, cruise control, driver and passenger knee airbags, first-aid kit, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, variable intermittent wipers, automatic headlamps, and fog lamps.
The IS250 AWD adds an eight-way power driver’s seat.
The IS350 AWD adds leather upholstery, LED daytime running lamps, and xenon headlamps with washers.
The IS350 RWD adds 18-inch alloy wheels, premium leather upholstery, eight-way power passenger seat, navigation system, stainless steel scuff plates, aluminum sport pedals, three-spoke power tilt-and-telescopic ISF-style steering wheel, auto-dimming exterior mirrors with tilt in reverse, sport grille, power sunroof, rear spoiler and rain-sensing wipers.
Features on the IS250C and IS350C include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, six-CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and USB, XM satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, heated and ventilated eight-way power leather seats with memory, keyless entry with pushbutton start, outside temperature gauge, multi-information display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual illuminated vanity mirrors, auto up/down front windows, three-spoke power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, woodgrain trim, aluminum sport pedals, floor mats, rear passenger one-touch walk-in function, cruise control, garage door opener, cargo net, driver and passenger knee airbags, heated auto-dimming mirrors with integrated turn signals, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive xenon headlamps, LED daytime running lights, headlamp washers, fog lamps and windshield wiper de-icer.
