NEW FOR 2010:
- All-new model
For 2010, the Land Rover LR4 is an all-new model. Known as the Discovery in other markets, it replaces the LR3 in Land Rover’s lineup.
The LR4 uses an all-new, direct-injection 5.0-litre V8, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Its permanent four-wheel drive includes an electronically-controlled locking centre differential, four-corner air suspension, hill descent control, and a driver-selectable Terrain Response that can be set for general driving, grass/gravel/snow, mud/ruts, sand, or rock crawl.
Trim levels are the V8, HSE, and HSE Lux.
Features on the V8 include 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather seats, tire pressure monitoring system, privacy glass, power sunroof, cruise control, cargo cover, Harman Kardon CD stereo with auxiliary input, keyless entry, brake assist, pushbutton start, and trailer sway control. It can be optioned with a third row of seats.
The HSE adds navigation system, front park distance control, Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, heated steering wheel, iPod interface, USB port, and stereo touch screen. It can be optioned with the third row of seats.
The HSE Lux adds three-row seating, premium leather package, rearview camera, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, automatic high beams, front console cooler box, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, electrically-adjustable driver’s seat bolster, driver’s side memory, interior ambience lighting, proximity key, Logic7 surround sound system, and rear-seat headphone sockets.
Stand-alone options, depending on the trim level, include an around-vehicle camera system, telephone integration system, rear-seat entertainment system, 20-inch alloy wheels, and roof rails.
