Kia's first purely battery-powered vehicle was the Soul Electric. Early versions had modest driving range on a full charge, but it wasn't long until the Soul Electric boasted one of the best range estimates in the mid-priced EV segment. The Soul's cabin is roomier than its size suggests, and while the Soul Electric isn't inexpensive, it comes loaded with high-tech features and drives with class-above refinement.
You honestly cant go wrong with owning one of these, its a dream. the car drives well and honesty takes nothing to fill the tank. the backseats have lots of leg room weather its a short drive or a long drive.
Issue:
On certain vehicles, a defect in the airbag control unit could cause the airbag warning light to turn on. If this happens, the airbag system may not work properly, and the airbags may not inflate in a crash.
Safety Risk:
An airbag system that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Kia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the airbag control unit software. If the airbag warning light is on because of diagnostic trouble code B1620, the dealer will replace the airbag control unit.
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the owner's manual is missing information for how a person can contact Transport Canada to report a safety concern. As of September 1, 2020, Canadian regulations require all companies to provide this information in the owner's manual.
Safety Risk:
This error does not affect vehicle safety.
Corrective Actions:
This is not a recall. Kia has corrected the owner's manual for all new vehicles. Additionally, corrected owner's manuals are available to view on Kia Canada's website.
