NEW FOR 2015:
- Base Coupe and Coupe AWD trims discontinued
- New colours: Magestic White. Blue Onyx for Coupe discontinued
For 2015, Infiniti’s only sports car continues on for the most part unchanged, other than a new white paint, and a slight reshuffling of the Coupe’s lineup.
Infiniti has consolidated the Coupe’s offerings into two types – AWD cars come exclusively equipped with a seven-speed automatic, while RWD cars come exclusively with the six-speed manual. The base rear-drive Coupe trim is deleted, while a new range-topping Limited trim is added which features optional equipment like navigation and radar cruise control as standard. As such, all Q60 Coupes now come with Sport-tuned steering, suspension, and styling accents. Got that? Good.
As for the Q60 Convertible, it is carried over unchanged.
This will likely be the final year of production or the Q60 in its current state; a new Q60 Concept has been making the rounds on the auto show circuit with a design that’s in line with the Q50 sedan. We’ve heard that it’ll offer both turbocharged four and six-cylinder power trains like the Audis, BMWs, and Benzes of the world. In the mean time, the Q60 continues to offer driving enthusiasts an authentic sports car experience with weighty and rich steering, a punchy 3.7-litre naturally aspirated V6 engine and a peach of a six-speed manual transmission.
The Q60 Coupe is available in Q60 Sport 6MT, Q60 Sport AWD, Q60 Limited 6MT, and Q60 Limited AWD trims, while the Convertible is available in Convertible Sport, 6MT Sport, Premier Edition, and IPL.
Standard features on the Q60 Coupe include 19-inch wheels, limited-slip rear differential, sport brakes, sport front fascia, automatic HID headlamps, fog lights, LED rear brake lights, power sunroof, proximity key with push-button start, heated power mirrors, speed-sensitive wipers, dual exhaust, dual-zone automatic climate control, power windows with auto up/down, illuminated entry, illuminated vanity mirrors, front seatback map pockets, 50/50 split folding rear seatback, leather upholstery, 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat with adjustable side bolsters and manual thigh support, eight-way power adjustable front passenger seat with manual thigh support, driver’s memory seat, heated front seats, aluminum interior trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum scuff plates, 10-speaker Bose audio system, AM/FM/CD/DVD/MP3 with USB and aux-in jack, 7.0-inch display audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, electroluminescent instrument cluster, power tilt and telescoping steering column, trip computer, reverse camera, rear parking sensor, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with garage door opener, aluminum pedals, cruise control, analogue clock, and alarm.
Q60 Limited adds black-painted rear spoiler, grille, mirror caps, and 19-inch wheels, stainless steel exhaust finishers, red interior stitching, navigation, and voice recognition.
Q60 AWD Sport builds on Q60 Sport and adds all-wheel drive and magnesium paddles for manual shifting.
Q60 Limited AWD adds black-painted rear spoiler, grille, mirror caps, and 19-inch wheels, stainless steel exhaust finishers, red interior stitching, navigation, voice recognition, advanced climate control system with auto-recirculation and Plasmacluster Ion filter, rain-sensing wipers, brake-assist, radar cruise control, and front-seat pre-crash seatbelts.
Q60 Convertible Sport builds on Q60 Coupe and adds three-piece folding hardtop roof, 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat with adjustable side bolsters and manual thigh support, sport steering tuning, 13-speaker Bose audio system, solid magnesium paddles for manual shifting.
Q60 Convertible Sport 6MT adds six-speed manual transmission; deletes seven-speed automatic.
Q60 Convertible Premiere adds seven-speed automatic transmission, standard-tuned steering, Midnight Black grille, 10-way power driver’s seat and eight-way power passenger’s seat, heated and cooled front seats, Maple wood trim, navigation, voice recognition. Removes sport-tuned suspension, and sports seats with adjustable side bolsters and under-thigh support.
Q60 Convertible IPL adds IPL-tuned high-flow dual exhaust, IPL-tuned sport suspension, IPL 19-inch wheels, IPL body kit, IPL exterior badging, sport steering tuning, red sport steering wheel stitching and interior stitching (stone leather only), and IPL logos on front seatbacks.
