Shane1983 It's probably the best value for money December 26, 2018 Limited AWD
Overall Score
1. Not as comfortable to ride as some American SUVs, But a LOT more affordable and more reliable. 2. Very powerful 3.5 V6 engine (276 HP). 3. Real-life fuel economy is pretty good for a heavy and powerful SUV at 10.5-11L/100KM city and 9.2-9.6L/100KM highway. If yours is lower, try changing the Engine air filter, it helps a lot! 4. Good looks and functionality. One of the only "cheap" SUVs that you can actually control the rear passengers' back-rest angle. 5. Does not rust easily like some other cars. But we DO rustproof it every year. The only problem we had so far is the oil pressure switch (not covered under warranty) that was leaking at 120,000, and again at 136,000. It cost about 350-450$ to replace. The 2010-2012 "limited" version is highly equipped for its age, with Voice control, Steering wheel controls, dual A/C, Bluetooth and much more. After 8 years and almost 140,000KM on it, I'm still reluctant to trade it for anything else, since I hear about a lot of reliability issues with all the other SUVs (even with the newer Santa Fe's).

On certain vehicles, the front suspension coil springs may be susceptible to corrosion. Over time, corrosion could cause the springs to fail, potentially damaging front tires and causing rapid air loss and/or tire failure, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair or replace coil springs as necessary, under a special service campaign.

On certain vehicles equipped with the 2.4L engine and automatic transmission, the right axle intermediate shaft may suffer excessive wear due to a misalignment with the right side output gear. Continued use in this condition could cause a whirring/whining noise to develop, and eventual transmission damage, which could result in a loss of vehicle propulsion. Lost propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the intermediate shaft and right side output gear.
