Available Trims
Genesis offers the GV70 in Select, Advanced, Advanced Plus, Prestige, Sport, and Sport Plus trims. The base engine is a twin-turbo 2.5L four-cylinder, and the option is a 3.5L turbo V6. All-wheel drive is standard, as is an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Standard Features
Select trim’s exterior comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, auto on/off LED headlights, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, passive keyless entry, and a hands-free power tailgate.
Inside, you get a heated/leather-trimmed steering wheel, aluminum trim, an 8.0-inch gauge display, dual-zone auto A/C, adaptive cruise, wireless smartphone charging, an auto-dimming mirror, an integrated garage door remote, leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, and an eight-way power driver’s seat.
The GV70’s standard safety kit comprises automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning with auto braking, driver attention warning, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and lane following assist.
Advanced trim adds 19-inch wheels, power-folding/auto-dimming mirrors with puddle lights, a sunroof, power steering wheel adjustments, ambient lighting, three-zone A/C, front parking sensors, leather seating, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.
Advanced Plus gains a 12-way driver’s seat, a surround-view monitor, and a head-up display.
Prestige trim brings a sport steering wheel, a suede headliner, Nappa leather/suede seating, a 16-way driver’s seat, and front-passenger four-way lumbar.
Sport trim comes with the V6 engine and 21-inch wheels, but gives up a number of Prestige’s upscale features, like ambient lighting, surround-view monitor, shift paddles, suede headliner, and Nappa leather.
Finally, Sport Plus gains quilted Nappa leather, a suede headliner, carbon fibre trim, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and the surround-view cameras.
Fuel Economy
Genesis’s fuel consumption estimates for the GV70 are 10.7/8.4 L/100 km (city/highway) with the 2.5L turbo four-cylinder engine, and 12.9/10.0 L/100 km with the V6.
Competition
Among the GV70’s high-profile competition is the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Acura RDX, and Lexus NX. Others include the Cadillac XT5, the Lincoln Corsair, the Volvo XC60, Buick Envision, Jaguar E-Pace, and Land Rover Discovery.
