Issue: Under certain conditions, the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly could become damaged. If this happens, oil could leak onto hot components. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.3 L turbo (T-GDI) engine. This recall replaces recall R0159 (Transport Canada recall number 2019-350). Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the left turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly.

Safety Risk: A short circuit can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Issue: On certain vehicles, a part in the trunk release latch could fail. If this happens, the emergency trunk release located inside the trunk compartment may not work properly. This could prevent a person that is trapped inside the trunk from opening it. Safety Risk: If a person is closed inside the trunk compartment, they may not be able to get out. This could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect trunk latch and, if necessary, replace the trunk latch base.

Under certain conditions, this could cause the engine to stall. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the jet nozzle of the low pressure fuel pump assembly, and repair it, if necessary.
