For 2011, the Buick LaCrosse makes the 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine standard equipment on the front-wheel drive CXL model, while the 3.0-litre V6 that was previously offered on the CX and CXL trim lines has been discontinued. The 3.6-litre direct-injection V6 offered in 2010 is now the only V6 choice. The 2.4-litre models also feature variable-ratio electric power steering.
The LaCrosse comes with a choice of 2.4-litre four-cylinder or 3.6-litre V6, both with six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2.4-litre is standard on the CX and CXL FWD; both models can be optioned to the V6. The 3.6-litre V6 is the only engine available in the CXL AWD and CXS.
Features on the CX include 17-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, heated mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, cargo net, cruise control, floor mats, driver information centre, tire pressure monitoring system, OnStar, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, illuminated vanity mirrors, garage door opener, auto up/down front windows, express-down rear windows, cloth seats with eight-way power driver’s adjustment, rear seat pass-through, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry, and automatic headlamps.
The CXL adds 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, fog lamps, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals and puddle lamps, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, driver’s power lumbar adjuster, eight-way power passenger seat, magnetic variable-effort steering, and remote starter.
The CXL AWD adds 18-inch alloy wheels.
The CXS adds 18-inch chrome-plated alloy wheels, auto-dimming driver’s side exterior mirror, 120-volt household power outlet, heated leather-wrapped and wood steering wheel, power rear sunshade, perforated heated and ventilated leather seats, driver’s side memory, premium Harman/Kardon surround sound system, iPod interface, bright exhaust tips, keyless ignition, and rear parking assist.
