NEW FOR 2015:
-No changes
BMW's 6 Series Gran Coupe--which is actually a four-door hatchback--moves into 2015 unchanged as the manufacturer readies a redesigned 6 Series for 2016.
The Gran Coupe starts out with a turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine in 640i xDrive trim, making 315 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque, before moving up to a 650i xDrive model that shares the coupe/convertible's 4.4L V8, with the same 445 hp/479 lb-ft output. Both engines come bundled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Finally, an M6 version uses the same engine, but tuned for 552 hp and 500 lb-ft, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (which can be optioned to a six-speed manual at no cost) and rear-drive.
640i and 650i xDrive models come standard with 19-inch wheels, adaptive Xenon headlights, LED foglights, electric parking brake with auto-hold, heated windshield washers, front and rear park assist, rain-sensing wipers, tire pressure warning, auto-dimming side and rearview mirrors, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, intelligent keyless entry, antracite roofliner, dynamic cruise control, heated steering wheel, power tilt-and-telescopic steering, leatherette-trimmed upper dash, heated Dakota leather front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, nine-speaker stereo with auxiliary input, USB integration, satellite radio, Bluetooth, 10.2-inch iDrive display, and navigation with voice control.
The M6 is similarly equipped, but gets 20-inch wheels and upgraded brakes.
