History/Overview
Audi introduced the S3 to North American buyers in 2015, and refreshed this subcompact sport sedan in 2017. For 2020, the S3 is carried forward largely unchanged.
What's New / Key Changes from Last Year
The sole cosmetic change is an upgrade to standard 19-inch wheels from last year's 18s. Other additions to the car's standard features list are detailed below.
Available Trims
The S3 sedan comes in Progressiv and Technik trim levels. Both use a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Quattro AWD.
Standard Features
Along with its new wheels, the S3 gains standard magnetic ride suspension, passive keyless entry, an anti-theft system with interior motion sensor, front and rear parking sensors, and a first aid kit.
Exterior items include heated side mirrors, sport suspension, lighted door sills, LED headlights, all-weather lights and taillights with dynamic turn signals, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic on/off headlights.
Inside, the S3 comes with leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, a 7.0-inch infotainment display, satellite radio, a smartphone interface with USB connector, aluminum pedals, auto engine start/stop, power-adjustable and heated front seats with lumbar, a colour driver info display, automatic climate control, aluminum dash inlays, and drive modes.
Safety-wise, S3 buyers benefit from a basic forward collision warning system.
Technik trim adds a digital gauge cluster, Audi Connect services, navigation, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, an advanced parking system, and a B&O stereo system.
