The Audi A5, the brand’s entry in the compact luxury coupe segment, is still looking fresh from a 2020 update, which is a remarkable feat given how little the car’s shape has changed since its late-2000s introduction.

What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year

The 2023 A5 coupe is unchanged save for a couple of new standard features.

Available Trims

Audi makes the A5 in Progressiv and Technik trim levels. Both are powered by a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine with mild hybrid assist, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive.

Standard Features

The A5 Progressiv comes with 19-inch wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beams, heated/auto-dimming side mirrors, heated sport seats, passive keyless entry with hands-free trunk, three-zone A/C, a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming interior mirror, and a sunroof. A 10.1-inch touchscreen controls audio and navigation functions, and you also get digital gauges. On the safety front, Progressiv gets front and rear collision mitigation, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. New to this trim for 2023 are wireless phone charging and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration.

Technik’s additions are laser headlights, power-folding side mirrors, rear-seat USB charging, an upgraded stereo, top-view camera, adaptive cruise control, traffic congestion assist, traffic sign recognition, and active lane assist.

Key Options

Progressiv offers an advanced driver assistance package that bundles adaptive cruise, lane assist, and traffic sign recognition, and congestion assist.

Both trims can be optioned with an S line competition pack that brings a number of cosmetic tweaks.
