History/Overview
The Porsche Panamera wasn't the first four-door from Stuttgart, but the 911-styled sedan still caught attention when it launched in 2010. For 2021, the car, now in its second generation, got a facelift and other changes listed below.
What's New / Key Changes from Last Year
For the 2021 model year, Porsche has refreshed the Panamera sedan as well as the Sport Turismo wagon based on it. The styling changes are subtle, but reworked fascias and a new steering wheel are the highlights.
Underskin changes include dropping the old 3.0L V6 base engine in place of a variant of the twin-turbo 2.9L V6 of the 4S model. It makes 325 hp, down five from the old base engine. The Panamera V8 options get more power, starting with 473 hp from the GTS and 620 hp for the Turbo S, which replaces the Turbo. E-Hybrid PHEV models are unchanged.
Available Trims
Panamera is offered in base, Platinum Edition, and AWD Panamera 4 (and Panamera 4 Platinum Edition), long wheelbase 4 Executive, and 4 Sport Turismo wagon, all with the 2.9L V6. 4S with a more powerful V6 is offered as Panamera 4S, 4S Executive, and 4S Sport Turismo.
PHEV E-Hybrid is offered as Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, 4 E-Hybrid Platinum, 4 E-Hybrid Executive, 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, 4S E-Hybrid Executive, and 4S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo.
