History/Overview

Lexus introduced the RC coupe in 2015 as an entry-level luxury model to go up against two-doors from the company’s German competition. There are no notable changes for the 2020 model year. The wild RC F sports car is covered in a separate buyer’s guide entry.

Available Trims

Lexus offers its compact coupe as the RC 300 AWD, and the RC 350 AWD. Both use a 3.5L V6 engine, which is tuned for extra power in the RC 350. Both are standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and, as the trim designations indicate, AWD.

Standard Features

Among RC 300 AWD’s standard exterior features are 18-inch alloy wheels and auto on/off LED headlights with auto-leveling.

In the cabin, you’ll find a 10-speaker stereo with satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, a 7.0-inch infotainment display, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, softex upholstery, heated eight-way power front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

RC 300 AWD safety kit includes forward collision warning with automatic braking, radar cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure alert with steering assist, and tire pressure monitoring.

RC 350 AWD adds 19-inch wheels, triple-beam LED headlights, F Sport body add-ons, adaptive variable suspension, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, parking sensors, passive keyless entry, a 17-speaker stereo, navigation in a 10.3-inch display, a heated steering wheel with electric adjustments, ventilated front seats, a fully digital gauge cluster, and a sunroof.

Key Options

RC 300 AWD offers Premium and F Sport Series 2 option packages.

Premium adds 19-inch wheels, passive keyless entry, a heated/leather-trimmed steering wheel with power adjustments, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, and driver’s seat memory.

F Sport Series 2 builds on the Premium pack and adds navigation, a 10.3-inch infotainment display, blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, adaptive variable suspension, upgraded LED headlights, active sound control, and an all-digital gauge cluster.
