2020 Toyota Prius Pricing Revealed

For 2020, Toyota's fuel-sippingest hybrid is getting some audio updates: a new screen with improved phone connectivity, plus new Toyota Connected Services. And a slight price increase to go with it.

The new 7.0-inch display audio screen is the most notable change this year, up from 6.1-inch in the base model last year. It was already announced for the Prius Prime for 2020, and it gets Apple CarPlay as standard. No Android Auto yet, though, as Toyota slowly spreads that system around its lineup. The system does get Toyota Connected Services (or Connected Services by Toyota, they use both names) that adds features like remote connect and service connect through the Toyota app with Safety Connect collision notification, and stolen vehicle location on Technology trim.

Of course, the key to the Prius is the 1.8L hybrid driveline. Toyota hasn't given fuel economy numbers for 2020, but we don't see anything that's likely to change them from the 4.4 L/100 km city, 4.6 highway it's rated at for 2019.

Prius Technology gets the same updates, and, like last year, comes with a Softex leatherette interior. Electronic all-wheel drive is available on both trims.

The 2020 Toyota Prius starts at $28,550. $560 more than last year. It's on sale now.
