Hyundai Traction All-Wheel Drive (HTRAC)

Hyundai has developed one of the most advanced all-wheel-drive system available, perfect for the harsh Canadian winters or getting off the beaten path. Available on most Hyundai SUVs, HTRAC monitors 50 vehicle inputs more than 100 times per second to calculate the torque needed for each wheel. If it detects slippage, the system reroutes power between the front and rear axles and applies subtle braking pressure to the left and right wheels to help you maintain traction. It also features driver-selectable modes for Snow, Mud and Sand for optimum traction.
