Sidekick to Adventure

When your life is an adventure, you need something reliable, comfortable and, perhaps most importantly, capable enough to chase it – a vehicle with no compromises. You’re not willing to settle for less, and Hyundai agrees. Which is why the TUCSON compact SUV is made for adventure, whether it be urban explorations or something a little more off-piste.

The 2026 TUCSON keeps the same bold, stealth-fighter-inspired design that has made it a standout in its class. With no major refresh this year, its signature grille, bumper fascias, and overall distinctive lines continue to deliver a modern and dynamic appearance. The TUSCON’s proven capabilities and utility remain unchanged, ensuring it’s ready for whatever you need, just as drivers have come to expect.

Sure-Footed Confidence

The TUCSON is made for all seasons, and Hyundai knows Canadian winters can be brutal; that’s why every single TUCSON, regardless of trim or powertrain, comes standard with the automaker’s advanced HTRAC all-wheel-drive system. It keeps the TUCSON in front-drive mode under normal conditions for better fuel economy but will automatically distribute power between both front and rear axles when traction is needed most. On top of that, it features driver-selectable terrain modes for Snow, Sand and Mud to fine-tune the system even further when needed. So not only can the TUCSON get you into adventure, but you’ll have the confidence that it has the capability to get you home, too.

And no matter what your lifestyle demands, the TUCSON has a powertrain to match. To start, there’s the standard 2.5L inline four-cylinder engine, with 187 hp and 178 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters, when you need that control. But there are other choices …

Electrified Drive

This is the first generation of the TUCSON that offers electrification, and you actually have two different versions here.

The TUCSON N Line comes standard with a hybrid powertrain(also available on the Ultimate), combining a turbocharged 1.6L engine with anelectric motor and 1.49 kWh battery. The combo delivers 231 hp and 271 lb.-ft. of torque.

That top-of-the-line Ultimate also offers a step up in the electric game with a full-on plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The 1.6L engine remains, but this time it’s paired with the electric motor and a 13.8 kWh battery, which means the TUCSON PHEV can go up to 51 km on electrons alone. Imagine using that electric motor to drive on silent power in nature or around a campsite.

It also makes a big different at the pumps. The Hybrid and PHEV both get a combined 6.7 L/100 km, better fuel economy than you’d expect from an SUV. And the PHEV is rated at 3.1 Le/100 km in pure electric mode. So you can go farther on your journey with lower costs; why not extend your adventure?

The savings calculator is a guide and not a guarantee of actual savings. Savings are calculated by the cost of your monthly trips (total km x fuel cost ÷ consumption of your vehicle), and how many of the monthly km can be driven in electric and hybrid mode, combining which shows the cost of the Outlander PHEV and the difference compared to your vehicle. Actual efficiency will vary depending on conditions, such as external elements, driving behaviours, vehicle maintenance and lithium-ion battery age.

Room for More Adventurers

Adventures are best shared with friends, and the TUCSON makes sure everyone stays comfortable, with plenty of head, shoulder, and legroom, especially compared with other SUVs in the segment. And cargo room is generous at 1,095L behind the rear seats (902L for the PHEV version), and 2,119L with the seats folded (2,108L for the hybrid version, 1,876L for the PHEV version), perfect for your camping gear, cottage necessities or even any treasure you might have found at the vintage shops. Standard roof rails mean you can also take your kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or a few sets of skis.

You’ll also be warm when the mercury drops, as every trim comes standard with front heated seats and a heated steering wheel, with rear heated seats and heated/ventilated front seats available. See? Hyundai knows winter.
