Chevrolet Bolt Raffle in Support of Cancer Patients

The Chevrolet Bolt EV is undoubtedly one of the most prominent cars this year, having been named North American Car of the Year. Of course, the connection with Quebec is strong, with the Canadian province being recognized for its love of clean electric power, whether it’s hydroelectricity or electric cars. Even the Formula E Championship will end its series in Montreal at the end of July, another proof of this electric interest in this eastern province!

The Cedars Cancer Foundation is taking advantage of this enthusiasm by raffling a brand-new 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV to raise funds for children and adults with cancer.

The foundation helps in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, post-treatment, supportive care, and palliative care for all cancer patients. Part of its mandate is also to invest in cutting-edge equipment, generate public interest, and fund research to win the battle against cancer.

A limited number of tickets – only 4,000 of them – is available, priced $40 for one or $100 for three. For a chance to win a Chevrolet Bolt EV, valued at $ 45,645.84, the investment is worth it, especially with no gas bill to worry about afterwards.

The draw will take place on August 31 at the La Sirène de la Mer restaurant in Ville Mont-Royal.

Quebec in the Guinness World Records?

The month of August could also be an occasion for EV owners to get in on a Guinness World Record: The AVEQ (Association des Véhicules Électriques du Québec), Quebec’s own electric car association, wants to host the largest electric and hybrid electric gathering of the world. The event will take place on August 19.

The only condition to be part of this world record is to own an electric or hybrid-rechargeable car and to possess a driver’s licence.
