The full-size luxury SUV segment is getting busy, so Lincoln is going all out with the refreshed 2025 Navigator, and now wants those letters to stand for Spa Utility Vehicle.
Starting inside, the update starts with a 48-inch screen that sits above the dashboard and spans its width, to provide as much information as possible, as close to the driver’s line of sight as possible. The display will feature all kinds of important information when the Navigator is on the go, but its most notable feature occurs when the SUV is parked.
The screen can help provide drivers with a serene experience when Lincoln Rejuvenate mode is turned on. The program lasts five or 10 minutes, during which the 48-inch screen shows calming visuals, like running water or the aurora borealis. Meanwhile, the ambient lights help soothe the driver, as gentle sounds play through the audio system and a special fragrance fills the cabin. But that’s all just the icing on top. The cake is that the front seats (which can be adjusted in up to 30 directions) slide backwards, warm slightly, and provide occupants with a gentle massage.
Front seat passengers aren’t the only ones who are spoiled, though. The Second-Row Power Tailored Seats option, brings the forward captain's chairs into the second row, offering passengers heating, cooling, and power adjustments. The third-row bench is also powered and heated, and folds down in a class-exclusive 40/20/40 split. There are up to 14 USB ports located throughout the cabin, and second-row passengers can get wireless charging pads if the buyer opts for one of the Black Label packages.
And that pluralization is important, because Lincoln is offering two new high-end packages in 2025. Joining the Black Label Invitation theme (which has Black Onyx leather, an ebony headliner, and Khaya wood accents) are the Enlighten theme (which offers Warm Horizon leather upholstery, light beige piping, gray stitching, and laser-etched birch wood accents) and the Atmospheric theme (which gets Salt Crystal Gray leather seating, a Salt Gray Crystal headliner, and black flooring with Ash wood trim). The last theme also extends to the exterior of the vehicle, where Radiant Copper accents on the grille and fender badging as well as 24-inch Radiant Copper aluminum wheels help elevate the exterior of the Navigator, which has been updated, too.
The SUV now features full-width headlight and taillight signatures. At the back, the liftgate has been split in two, providing owners with a bench that can support up to 500 pounds (227 kg) and opens automatically if it senses the key behind it for more than four seconds.
Under the hood, all Navigators will be powered by a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to tow up to 8,700 pounds (3,946 kg) when the available Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package is equipped. The Navigator will also come with a variety of driver assistance systems, including a trailer backup mode, and BlueCruise hands-free driving system. The 48-inch panoramic screen will also help drivers navigate the road thanks to a turn signal view that shows a camera feed from the adjacent lane.
Unfortunately, prices for all of this luxury and tech have yet to be announced. Lincoln plans to put the 2025 Navigator on sale next spring.
