The all-new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is heading to dealers this summer and the Japanese brand has announced pricing for the SUV ahead of its launch.
The new Pathfinder offers a new driveline, a host of new tech inside, and marks a return to the rugged roots of the model. When it arrives at dealers, the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder will start from $43,798.
The 2022 Pathfinder has grown longer, wider, and taller, but with that has come a higher price. The outgoing model started from just over $36,000, so what comes with the new price tag?
From the ground up, it starts with a new standard AWD system with seven drive and terrain modes. Towing for up to 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg), and a 284-hp V6 backed by a nine-speed automatic transmission are all part of the new package that sits underneath the boxier and tough-looking bodywork.
Nissan's ProPilot Assist and Safety Shield 360 are standard. The former gives the Pathfinder adaptive cruise control and lane-centring steering assist, while the latter comes with a wide range of popular driver aids including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, blind spot and rear cross traffic alerts, and more.
The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder will be offered in five trims, and while the automaker's site doesn't detail the lower S and SV models at this time, it does detail the SL ($50,398), which will have traffic sign recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay, leather seating, and a 9.0-inch touchscreen among its extra features. The SL Premium will add 20-inch wheels, wireless device charging, head-up display, and Bose audio, while the top-spec Platinum will have second-row captain's chairs, quilted semi-aniline leather, and a 12.3-inch digital dash.
Nissan says to expect the new 2022 Pathfinder at dealers nationwide mid-summer.
