A facelifted 2019 Nissan Murano has been presented for the first time at the LA Auto Show sporting an updated set of safety technologies and features to go with some light appearance updates.
Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite of safety technologies highlights the new feature offerings, available for the first time on the Murano to add forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and rear emergency braking. New second-row supplemental side air bags and a front passenger supplemental knee air bag are now included as standard equipment.
The Murano will also feature rear door alert as standard, which reminds drivers to check the back seat of the vehicle when exiting, and a driver alertness monitor to track whether a driver is becoming fatigued.
An updated navigation system includes 3D building graphics and satellite imagery, online POI search, and premium traffic information.
On the design side, the updated Murano has a more pronounced chrome V-shaped accent on the grille, redesigned LED headlights and taillights, new LED fog lights, new 18-inch and 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheel designs, and two new exterior colours dubbed Sunset Drift and Deep Blue Pearl.
The updated interior now has three new trim finisher colours, and the Platinum trim includes diamond-quilted seat inserts with contrasting micro-piping trim and dark wood-tone inserts.
The refreshed 2019 Nissan Murano will arrive in Canadian dealerships in January 2019.
