Nissan Prices All-New 2019 Altima Sedan

Nissan has just introduced an all-new Altima, adding standard all-wheel drive and more available semi-autonomous tech. We've just driven it, and now Nissan has added a price to the new sedan.

The midsize 2019 Nissan Altima will come in three trims plus a special and limited to 250 Edition One. The new car starts $1,700 more than last year but you do get more features for that. Like the all-wheel drive and a new 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Things not standard on even the higher SV trim last year.

The Altima comes with a new 2.5L four that offers up 182 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. That's 3 hp more than last year. The only transmission on offer is a continuously variable one.

Standard active safety features include intelligent emergency braking, rear door alert, forward collision warning, and driver alertness. SV trim adds ProPilot assist semi-autonomous driving that offers lane centering and stop and go adaptive cruise control. It also gets pedestrian detection and rear automatic braking as well as cross traffic alert and blind spot warnings. Platinum trim adds a surround view camera.

The Edition One adds some special touches to the Platinum trim. Like unique 19-inch alloys, special floor mats, illuminated sill plates, a rear spoiler, and a special Edition One badge.

Nissan didn't say when the car would arrive at dealers, but with the company holding a start of production ceremony yesterday at the Mississippi plant that's building them we'd expect cars to start arriving at dealers soon.

2019 Nissan Altima Canadian pricing:

Altima S $27,998
Altima SV $31,498
Altima Platinum $34,998
Altima Edition ONE $35,998
