FCA Recalls Grand Caravan, Town & Country Vans for Third-Row Seats That Could Fall Apart

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has recalled four of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans to inspect third-row seats that may not have been properly assembled during the manufacturing process.

While having a car seat fall apart under you would be upsetting under any circumstance, the main concern in this handful of 2016 model vans is that the seatback could come loose in even a minor crash, increasing the likelihood of injury to those riding in the way back.

Dealers are being instructed to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the bolts that secure the third-row seatback to the bottom cushion.
