Documented in the Corvette Registry this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible was the 434th vehicle to roll off the St Louis assembly line for this model year of production. This Corvette features a numbers matching 427/390 engine with desirable M21 4-Speed Manual Transmission and 3:55 Posi rear end. Originally ordered with factory headrests, AM/FM radio, Power Steering and Power Brakes, Factory Redline Tires and Rally Wheels, and body color Factory Hardtop. In 1986 during a Corvettes in Carlisle event in Ohio, USA, this Corvette was purchased by Mr S. who would commission a restoration for his new Stingray for entry into CCCC events and shows around the country. This motorcar was the recipient of a 4+ year, 3 stage, complete body off/frame-up restoration, with care to accuracy of the original build. 1990 - Stage 1: Bare strip to metal, repainted by Geadys Auto Body. Stainless brakes, new trailing arms, refinished exterior chrome and mouldings, new weather-stripping, undercarriage sandblasted and refinished! 1993 - Stage 2: Engine build complete in Spring 1993 by Andy Rankin (Straight Line Racing) All new internal components, bored .040, line-honed/hot tanked, sonic checked, entire bottom end balanced and blueprinted, heads resurfaced, bronze wall valve guides, multi-angle valve job, and assembly. Muncie 4-Speed Transmission completely rebuilt. 1993/94 Stage 3: Completed engine bell housing, Painted to NCRS specifications, installed by Co-Judging Chair in 1994/95 Sean Goodman. All new wiring harness, fully reconditioned Holley 3811A/4160 Carburetor, fan shroud/fan clutch, re-corded high density 4-core radiator, heater core, cadmium plating and sand blasting, new clutch/dish/cross-shaft/fork/rod, flywheel, drive belts, pulleys, seals, hoses, motor mounts, new dated vintage battery, complete instrument cluster/clock restoration and many other correct new/n.o.s/repro parts and components. Complete engine compartment detail to NCRS Judging standards.
