Volkswagen Passat 1995-2017Change

I bought my Passat from the Capital Cars, The dealer service is very good and professional, the sales introduced with very details and experienced, this car is very clean and nice with auto service, it has the safety certificate for my car when pick up. I am very happy with their service and I have droved my car for about three weeks, and it is so far so good. I would like to refer this dealer to the buyers and thanks for the Capital Cars Dealer to allow me reached my car dreams, I would thank having such a good deal with surprise.

The Passat is very roomy and fuel efficient.
Drives like European car, cost like Japanese cars.
The engine runs smooth, but more noisy than other European cars.

People seem to think the Passat is a very bland car, but i think its simplicity will age well with time compared to its competition that looks like it took its inspiration from a guy's hair that is gelled back.
It has everything you'd expect in a German car. Precision, elegance & simplicity.
The car definitely was tailored towards the North American market with its large back seat, big trunk and a little looser suspension to give it an airy ride. It definitely feels like a German car except for the suspension and steering. There is a little to be desired by it.

For my first VW this car has preformed exceptionally. A punchy 1.8 litre turbo paired with a 5 speed trans, it has been good for me my commuter.
The only major downside to this vehicle (or many older VWs) is the parts are difficult to find. Or atleast where I am, many had to be ordered from the US and heavily marked up.
But it was an excellent car and I would still be driving it however a deer had other plans and decided to total it off.

It's is so comfortable to drive! I really love the silver finish around the windows, it sticks out of the black paint!

Volkswagen has always been the pinnacle of performance for the price. You can't go wrong with these types of vehicles. Exceptional safety rating which gives you piece of mind.

I have this car and it has never failed me however I do care about the environment and would keep driving it except for the pollution. The scandal is horrible. I would buy another volkswagon.

This is a great car for those that do a lot of mileage. The fix for emissions problem is not done yet so not sure how it will change but I routinely do 1000-1200km on a tank in summer.
Trading it in as I don't want to deal with the bad customer service from volkswagen anymore. My old volks had a few minor problems and this one seems to be developping a few as well from interior design chipping away.

Purchased the car 2 years ago and love nearly everything about it. The performance and economy of the TDI is excellent. Lots of low end torque and I get 1100 - 1200 kms. regularly on a 70 litre tank. Ample seating room, front and back, and trunk space is massive. Steering is light and easy and cornering is very good. The Highline (top model) has a lot of pluses - leather heated seats, power memory seats and an incredible Fender stereo system. In terms of fun, best car I have ever owned.

I have had my 2014 Passat TDI for over 3 years now. It is an amazing car, both on the highway and in the city.
It has got lots of torque for quick starts and merging in the city, it has a good turning radius, despite being a large car so it is great for parking. It will cruise comfortably on the highway all day.
The interior is spacious and comfortable. Controls are well laid out and easy to use, climate control and heater / defroster / heated seats are awesome.
The best part is the fuel mileage and range. Mileage will vary of course based on how you drive, speed, acceleration and where you drive, city vs highway. Highway mileage ranges from 4.3 l/100 to 5.2 l /100. City is 6.7 to 8. On the highway if I don't drive too fast, I have gotten over 1400km per tank. With normal mixed driving, 1000 km is easy and even city driving in the winter with cold starts and idling etc 800+ is normal.
There are a few things that could be improved: The entertainment and navigation system can be slow responding i.e. start up can vary from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. Since it is linked to the back up camera for the display, this can be frustrating. Usually it is pretty good, but occasionally if is very slow. Apparently there is a recall coming on that according to the dealer. The other thing is don't bother with the navigation system option. Google maps is much better and the pre-loaded maps haven't been updated since 2012. VW still has no updates available!

It drives excellent, this 2.0T engine is a masterpiece with plenty of power and amazing fuel economy. I'm doing 700km in one tank of gas and I live in a big city! You have to put premium gas in it but it's a premium car so this should come as no surprise.
Parts are expensive so I would say I did the right thing to get extended warranty.
Interior is very well appointed, even mercedes c-class or bmw 3 series will not have such a quality in terms of material and design.
Driving experience is also positive, steering is sharp and precise, suspention gives a perfect balance between comfort and sporty feel.
All in all, I will buy another passat

plastic and loud interior. During winter time sometimes I can't open the door ! Also Bluetooth and multimedia system works slow...

I have 86000 Km its running great .only thing I replace .its the brake .its me first VW.I love the German engineering .

DO NOT BUY, 1000's to keep on road, loved the styling and drive, but always spending money to keep it on road!

Haven't owned it long, but Its been fine so far and I've had it in for a full synthetic oil change, and a full tank of supreme fuel.

This is the best car I have ever owned- The gas efficiency, the styling, the comfort, and mainly overall performance has surpassed all my expectations. The best selling feature on this car is mainly the hwy km- I drove to NYC on one tank of gas- with one fill up it will last me for 2 weeks. If you are looking for a great smooth drive- with not breaking the bank in gas money- this car is for you

The car is really reliable and has very good fuel economy. On highway I could get up to around 1000km. It never has a problem to start in the winter because of the coolant heater. You can plug in the car in the winter and start it with no problem every morning. I really like this car but have to sell it because I need a bigger vehicle for my family.

Car is amazing it gets great fuel miliage and is one of the safest car on the market. My family and I have never been disappointed owning this car it has always performed to the high standard VW sets for their cars.

This vehicle has been 100% reliable and great for both city driving and longer distance rides - the seats are comfortable and the drive is smooth and quiet. Drive response is great coming from German build, it has the ability to feel quite like a sports car with the accessibility of a sedan. Sad I have to sell but I am in no longer need of this second vehicle.

We've had our 2001 Passat for 13 years and its exceeded my expectations re: reliability and durability. The engine still runs like a top and burns zero oil. And it has a lot of utility to it like a big trunk and lots of room in the backseat for stuff or people. Lastly, it a pleasure to drive, you feel like you're part of the road vs "swishy" luxury cars.

Such a great car. Had this car for 12 years. Smooth and comfortable to drive. Feels very safe and stable. Handles very well. Very spacious trunk for car of it's kind. Have done LONG trips, camped and moved furniture - pretty versatile. Volkswagen really knows how to make cars.

Fun-to-drive vehicle, upscale interior and wide range of features, my Passat is my favorite vehicle yet. I liked it so much I bought a 2014 Passat. Don't buy your next family car without driving one of these first.

Better handling dynamics than most sedans in its class, excellent value, roomy interior with upscale feel, outstanding build and materials quality, front-wheel drive, diesel engine which gets great fuel mileage.
