Kia Soul 2009-2018Change

It provides all the basic things needed in a car and is reasonably comfortable. It is relatively roomy both in the front and the back, and I haven't had very many problems with it. The biggest complaint I may have is that the headrests are quite uncomfortable, and are placed too forward. Overall though, it is a good ride.

The Kia Soul is a car with a desired taste. It has its advantages of being small and maneuverable with a fair amount of space for a very small family or just couples.

Overall comfort is good with adjustable seating and great dashboard and center console.

Transmission can be a problem when running uphill. The car seems to have a noticable delay when revving to get up the hill and it doesn't seem to pull compared to other vehicles I have driven.

Fuel Economy is good for a compact SUV, although, with its small size and weight, it isn't quite as good as what I had hoped. It is best to leave the Eco on whenever possible.

Whether winter or summer, the car operates satisfactorily, but don't expect it to be a race horse.

Very happy with the quality of this vehicle. Was a little uneasy going into the winter with the KIA. But when they say they have the power to surprise, They mean it. Well done.

This is a small vehicle on the outside but inside it is amazingly roomy both in the front and rear. Head room is awesome and it is great for someone who wants a smaller car but not cramped for room.. two thumbs up.

i haven't had a problem so far, its been a good reliable care would buy another one. I have winter studded tires and don't have a problem with winter driving . it handles good and really have nothing bad to say about it.i have owned it for almost three years now. it hasn't let me down yet. i do my own oil changes and brakes and found it really maintenance friendly.easy to get at and take apart. all fluid reservoirs are easy access.lots of room around the motor. i have to kids and it holds all of us and camping gear.

The cube-like Soul is sold in three unique trim levels — LX, EX and SX. The LX comes with a 130-horsepower 1.6-litre DOHC four-cylinder. The EX and SX enjoy a more powerful 164-hp 2.0L GDI four-cylinder. The 1.6L engine is mated to a six-speed manual or, optionally, a six-speed automatic. The 2.0L engine comes exclusively with a six-speed automatic. A significant suspension upgrade in 2014 made the Soul more nimble and agile. Hallmark touches of the funky compact include a wraparound greenhouse, high-mounted taillights and upright stance. Available LED front positioning lights and rear LED “light bar” lights help connect Soul to other models within the Kia lineup. Also available is the Soul EV, a pure-electric plug-in model powered by a synchronous AC motor through a single-speed transmission. The liquid-cooled electric motor puts out 109 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque.

Very well-adjusted car. It's pretty, it's a lady car, I just love it. It rides well, comfort is amazing, long journeys are a breeze and I have cruise control which is a definite plus. Safety features are many and very well appreciated.

We have had this car for a year and have had no complaints. It has not needed extra servicing. The dealer provided stellar customer service.
We have two adults, two dogs, and a wheelchair, we all fit comfortably. My husband drove Uber for a year and customers loved the car.

This was my first new car purchase. I bought a limited edition trim package with fun two tone paint color and panorama sun roof, leather interior and heated seats. I like that it is a unique color and trim The best part is the great gas mileage and reliability. Even though the Soul is a small car, the back seats drop down and the hatch back allows me to move some bigger items if I need to

I bought this car a few months ago, and i am loving it!! It has an eco fuel setting, and i really like that feature! From the outside, it looks very small. It surprisingly has lots of space inside! The boxy design is very nice, and it looks somewhat sporty.

Our Kia has been very reliable in the 5 years we have had it. It has a basic interior with simple features, but the design works. It is great on gas. The interior is very spacious, lots of space to travel, great vehicle for large dogs to ride around in and it handles like a small vehicle so you don't feel like you're driving a big boat. Overall it has held up very well with heavy daily usage.

Some of the cons which aren't a huge deal- you can hear road noise when driving on highways, the seats get a little uncomfortable during long drives. (4+ hours). An arm rest on the passenger side would be nice. It doesn't have a lot of "oomph" if you need to accelerate quickly.

Very good on fuel, and very comfortable ride. Its a lot more roomy on the inside than it appears. I enjoy the sound system as well.

I've had my Soul for a little over a year now, and I am very pleased with it. Peppy on the highways. Easy to turn in small parking lots. Fuel efficient. So very cute!

I love the panoramic sunroof, but the most pleasant surprise is how much I love the heated steering wheel. Living in Northern Ontario, this makes a big difference in the comfort of winter driving. So far I have been delighted with everything.

I love my car. the Kia soul carries everything that i need to and looks cute, I have been told that she matches my personality

I have the LX MT which is a base model standard so the performance is only a 3 as she does not accelerate well, due to the fact that she is not overly aerodynamic and has a small 1.6 engine

Overall this is a great car for a city run about, however on the Highway it has a Lot of Road & Wind Noise. That is a real bummer when you have to do a long trip. Other than that, I am very pleased with the overall driveabilty of the car.

This car will not set the world on fire, it hardly has what I would call great performance. But in the scheme of things, it is definitely a great performing car for its cost!

For once I love my Car. My Kia soul is perfect, I have been told it matches my personality exactly. She is reliable, I can fit so much stuff in the back. I love that I was able to get in a manual transmission

I've logged just over 350,000 highway kilometers and, aside from routine maintenance, it's cost me 2 ball joints, 2 wheel bearings, one clutch and one battery. Needless to say, this has been one of the best cars I've owned in almost 40 years. Fun and comfortable to drive. I work on my laptop a lot in the car and I enjoy how you sit up in it like my previous Jeep Liberty. Lots of cargo space with either/both back seats down, though it lacks space with the seats up, but I knew that beforehand. I will buy another!

Wow, what a great trouble free car. 5 years later and never a problem, awesome fuel economy, great on road trips, lots of room for extras.
Wife loves this car, love the styling and all the features. Kia has made a great name for themselves. Highly recommended!

Fuel Efficient, great handling, good in snow, good on highway, good in city traffic. Easy to park. Been driving it since brand new, would definitely buy another Soul

I had a little Kia Rios but in Alberta it was too tiny for those BIG trucks. The Kia Soul is a perfect size. Its retro sharp looking and I have not had a single problem with it. The sun roof is great and so is the hand free blue tooth. I can't say I have any complaint except I don't need to drive it often so it sits and collects dust all week :(

Bought used in 2013 - great car - even on long trips. With the back seats down it has a ton of room. High recommend.

The biggest surprise I found in my Kia Soul is the next generation four wheel disk anti-lock brakes. I had to make an emergency stop as I was being cut off and the stopping power was incredible. An accident was prevented by this Kia Soul. Sure performance and handling are important but so is stopping.
The bluetooth is very nice with the controls at your fingertips.
The only negative I have found is being pushed around by the wind due to the vehicle being shaped like a box. But to have the excellent headroom and storage this is the way it has to be.

I leased this Soul 4U in 2012 and the lease end is coming up soon. The residual is $10500 and my search reveals all same year Soul 4U's are at least $3000 or more than that. I have leased the last 3 times as I believe I only want the first and best part of any vehicle.
This car has changed my mind and I am sure I will go through with buying of it.
...WHY?...Great comfort! I'm a big older guy and this is the first compact car I have ever owned. Easy to get in and out of.Lots of leg and head room. I have a 6'5" friend who can sit in the back comfortably. When the back seats are down you have half the cubes of a mini-van and look sporty doing it. Fuel economy is fair and also the range Maximum is never achieved but I can live with these minor issues.

The Soul is a fun car to drive, economical and the heated seats are great! It is peppy & the manual transmission gives you a lot of control. The interior colour is black with the unique Kia Soul pattern on the top of the front seats.
