Memories Made in a Great Car
Over the course of the many years I have owned my Jeep Patriot I have never had any issues with it. It is an overall great car and is reliable in all types of weather and road conditions. Overall I had a great experience using this car and would definitely recommend it.

not a vehicle I would had picked
this was my first vehicle since I had my license. I had nothing but problems with my patriot. I wouldn’t had picked this for my first vehicle . It gets me where I want to go. I find it to small. It doesn’t have enough room for me or my wife or doesn’t have enough horsepower. The engine only has a 4 cylinder in it. this vehicle has given me and my wife but nothing but problems.

Reliable
For the most part the Patriot is reliable and efficient. I have done a lot of highway driving and it would have been better with a larger gas tank. The biggest problem was the sun roof....leaks very bad.....after one good rainfall, the accumulated 2inches of water behind the driver seat. There. Is plenty of room for hauling stuff.

Nice for a FIrst car
Sporty car for any of you outdoor people. Full leather seating for the high altitude model (highest grade) is a really nice feature. Easy to maneuver and very durable.

2017 Jeep Patriot

Overall I really liked driving this car
I really enjoyed this vehicle. Gas mileage was great, it is very stylish. It was comfortable to drive. I would have preferred to have arm rests in the driver seat as I found when I was driving for more than an hour it would have been nice to have something to rest my arms on. I would feinitely purchase a Jeep again.

Perfect vehicle
Love my jeep. Lots of room, very comfortable to drive or ride in. Lots of power but still economical. Handles very well and is easy to get around in the city and on the open road. Will definitely buy another Jeep in the future.

Great fit for a starter car
If you are looking for a basic sporty kinda car with 4wd function, then this is the right car for you. comes in three grades, the high altitude one is mine and the full leather seats as well as the roof window is the highlight of this vehicle

2015 Jeep Patriot

It's a good ride
It's a smooth drive, strong grip.Though the Wrangler's old-school approach might be appealing, there are some significant drawbacks to note. It has a rough ride, middling fuel economy and some of the lowest safety ratings on the road today. What's more, the seats aren't very comfortable, the infotainment system isn't as appealing as more updated versions from Jeep, and it's just plain loud on the highway, making it tough to take on long road trips.

Not an SUV
Looked to replace my 2000 SUV, but the new selection of SUVs have been up-styled to FWD sedans. Feels like driving a station wagon. While the reviews from the company say it is trail rated, I can't imagine taking it off-road for any fun (too low to the ground and not enough room in the wheel well for larger tires due to the springs being in the way). However, it has lots of leg room in the back seating area, even when the front passenger has his seat set far back and lots of storage in the back deck. And the MPG is outstanding. I've come to terms with this vehicle being a grocery-getter and taking me back and forth to work.

Tough and functional

Good small family vehicle
This works for two carseats in the back but not more than that. You could not fit a booster and two carseats. I like how the back seats fold down 1/3 and then 2/3 instead of 1/2 and 1/2 - makes for more options without the carseats. Definitely need to keep up with regular tune ups on this one, though.

Great car but gas Is a problem
I've owned a 2008 jeep patriot since 2008. It's a good car and I like it a lot. Comfortable, reliable, looks nice. Fuel economy is the big problem. I can only get about 300 kilometers for a full tank. Almost all of my driving is highway driving. I wouldn't want to drive this car a lot in the city.

2007 Jeep Patriot

Trim: Sport 4x4
by BB_Pete on 04-13-2017
Great off-road and snow capability but a maintenance pig
I loved the Patriot and had a 4x4 North FD1 version.
Interior was very plain - lots of hard (but washable) plastic everywhere. Seats are cloth and repel stains well.
The Automatic FD1 in 2007 had excellent capability at clamping brakes on slipping wheels and gaining traction, as it shared a lot of programming with its' off-road cousin the FDII.
I drive this in sand, mud, and deep snow, and it was amazing - but not a true off-road vehicle: only 8.5" ground clearance across the entire bottom.
The car is function-over-comfort. Very capable but not that comfortable, Take yours for a test drive.
Unfortunately, they don't hold their value, and needs lots of maintanance. In 145k kms, I had to replace 5 front lower control arms, rear link ends, and had rust eating the top of the rear wheel well.

First-rate!
Upon experiencing the winter conditions of Canada as an immigrant, I thought that a 4X4 (not an AWD) would be the appropriate vehicle to own. Fuel economy is a major factor so I needed one that would not be too big and heavy but not to small either. I prefer traditional box type 4X4s to sleek curvy ones with straight forward and simple design. When I first saw the Jeep Patriot, I instantly knew this is what I wanted. So far it has lived up to my expectations.

Very good experience
It's a very good ride experience. I don't have a problem since I bought this vehicle. Very good on gravel road and snow. With a 2 inch lift kit it gives you clearance of snow and mud.Easy to warm up the vehicle with its remote keys. Easy to park on a small parking space. Equipped with Bluetooth, its easy to receive and make calls. With the sunroof installed I enjoy the sun in the summer time and the fresh air.

will truly go anywhere
I bought this shortly after retiring my trusty 2000 grand Cherokee , has been an absolute gem no problem what's ever. Acceleration is a little sluggish though cause of cvt. Always change your cvt transmission fluid and your good to go.

Great Vehicle!
I love my Jeep Patriot. It is great on gas and drives really good. As with any sport utility Jeep, my only complaint is the trunk space. With 2 kids and a big dog, this car is just too small for our Vancouver road trips. If I could afford to maintain 2 vehicles I would not be selling this one. I purchased it new right off the lot and I have never regret it. Also, if you like tailgating, the hatch (back door) when open, has drop down speakers and a great sound system! Also comes with a built in flashlight.
