Volkswagen Phaeton 2004-2005Change

I bought a used 2005 with about 135,000 Kms and have yet to be disappointed.....This car performs extremely well and offers a very comfortable and quiet ride. I agree that new, the R8 would probably be a slightly better deal but as a used offering I have not experienced the cabin noise that other Phaeton owners have commented on. I was critical of the fuel economy because even though a full tank of gas should get me 770 kms it rarely comes close to this milage.

I purchased this car with 100000kms and have used it as a daily driver for the past two years. I have no complaints about the vehicle. My model has the 4.2L v8 engine, and for a large sedan, it has plenty of pep and handles with surprising agility. The phaeton is fairly easy to work on, and the cost of maintenance is only minimally above that of the 2006 jetta I owned previously.
I would strongly recommend this vehicle, and I hope that the rumors prove true, that VW will be offering the Phaeton in North America once again, in 2015.
